Nutes Help

  1. Hey fellas! I am a new grower. I live in a region where good potting soil is not an option. I tried growing before and the seedlings just stopped growing and started dying...I am guessing its nutrient deficiency because soil seem to not have nutrients or very little. I am starting a new grow again and here are the equipment I have on hand:
    -Grow tent (120x120x200 cm)
-300W LED full spectrum grow light
    -seeds will be grapegods
-soil will be mix of soil (bad potting soil), perlite and peatmoss

The question now is type of fertilizer should I use to keep my seedlings healthy? When should i start feeding them. I need a good NPK fert ratio as here its not the US or Europe...we cant get the good growing stuff....haha

    Looking forward for your suggestions....cheers

  2. If you're anywhere near an animal feed/agricultural supply business then you've got access to most of what you need.

Alfalfa, kelp, lime, compost, blood and bone meals, etc. Pretty much anywhere there's a settlement of people there's a way to grow crops for food, and those same principles apply to growing weed. You don't need access to overpriced nutrient bottles to grow good crops, check out Jerry's thread in the indoor section, it's stickied at the top of the forum.

  3. Cheers Thicken Dense! I will check it out...try things out...might start a grow journal and see how that goes

  4. I would have guessed a hot soil not one deficient in a nutrient. Seedlings do not need much. Most killings of plants is over water, over nutrient or high temps usually an unventilated space.

    bad soil?

  5. yea so the soil seem to not have any nutrients in them! Seedlings grow healthy. First real leafs came out then half of second real leaf came out and it started changing colors...to lighter green (which if i am not wrong is N deficiency) but it is not recomended to feed them until like 2 weeks or so no?
