So my X-mas vaycay was on the other side of the Country so I packed an ounce and a half to take with me, I didn't want to pack my bowls though because they were all rezzy and I was worried they would smell or the shape of them on the scanner would show up and tip them off so I bought a bud box. Is a little wooden container about the size of a pack of smokes and you keep your loose bud in one side and there is a little glass one hitter that looks like a cigarette on the other side. So you tap it in the bud, and it is supposed to fill the tiny bowl with just enough for a hit. I thought, sweet, what a slick idea. I am fucking hating it. It gets too packed I guess, because first its super clogged and impossible to drag. When I increase suction, I just end up with a mouth full of bud. I can't find a happy medium between getting a mouthful and getting nothing. Is there a technique to this I am missing?? They don't sell pipes around here, I can buy papers but I don't want to blow through all my weed while I am here, I want to try and ration it. Tips??
It just needs a screen..the screen will help in 2 ways - keep bud and ash from getting in your mouth and keep little pieces of bud from clogging things up. As of right now it probably needs a good cleaning..steaming hot water will get most of it but if you want it really clean use ISO.
Whelp, if you really can't get a pipe, don't want to use your current piece and don't want to roll a joint you could kick it oldschool with a potato pipe. I used to use them all the time when I had no glass, and they're better than apples. http://i.imgur.com/8U12GPt.jpg Stab a pen or something through one end and out the other and then a hole on top connecting to the main pathway and a hole on the side connecting to both.. Then you can carve out the bowl size of your choice with a knife. Doesn't really taste bad or anything and works just like a regular pipe... except it's a potato.
Smoking an oz and a half through a one hitter sounds terrible. I'd personally just roll joints if you have no access to glass, but If your trying to ration build a bong out of a soda can, your one hitter once cleaned and 3/4s of an acorn shell.
