  1.  I am not paid for this: just sharing something I found.

There are these bags with stuff in it that generates something like 1200-1500 PPM CO2 for indoor growing.  The gas is released through a one-way patch in the top of the bag.

No need for expensive and potentially dangerous machinery!  Buy a bag or two and you're good to go.

REMEMBER:  PEOPLE DIE FROM TOO MUCH CO2 IN THE AIR!!!!!!  That is gas asphyxiation.

  2. Wow that looks awesome thanks for that I'm gonna get one have u tried it yet?

  3. I have used these with great results. You have to make sure you hang them high in your tents as CO2 sinks....you don't want it lagging around in the bottom root zones. They begin to look rather disgusting after a month but rest assured...they are working....

Sorry but nope: I'm an outdoor grower.  Or at least, trying to become one.  ;)

So I didn't want to believe everybody that you MUST grow cannabis outdoors at a certain time of the year and bought some clones from a local dispensary.  2 Pure Kushes (Greenhouse) and 3 Orgasmic OGs (Cali Connection).  Let's just say my neighbor was totally right:  you get about a gram per plant at this time of year.

BUT:  it's a good idea to try out a strain during the off season so you can figure out what you want to do once it's time for the main event.  With the exception of seeds from breeders like DJ Short and Cali Connection cannabis seeds aren't really THAT expensive.  You can get 5 Pure Kush feminized seeds from Seedman or whatever for only $25.  Also my little tiny PK spear hanging in the garage is AMAZINGLY FROSTY and is reekin' up the place with JUST A GRAM OF BUD ON THE STEM!!!!!!!!!!

I showed it to one of my pot smoking neighbors today and he just flipped out over how beautifully frosted it is!!!  Very good results, very dank looking and smelling strain.

I harvested that Pure Kush clone today, which was the strongest plant of them all (of the clones, that is).  Of course that one finished wayyy ahead of the other.  Note that I said other as in singular as I've lost 3 of the 5 clones (2 Orgasmics and one Pure Kush).  Nobody agrees with me but I've found growing from seed to be a lot less difficult and that seedlings tolerate nutrients better.

I've read enough to know that I just had a bad experience for whatever reason and that clones should, theoretically, be literally no different than a seedling as long as they are properly cared for.  Not sure mine were is all.  Don't do seedlings only based on my first experience with clones.

I've got 5 Purple Crown X Columbian Purple Hazes (Reeferman Genetics) growing out there too, from seed, and I tell you that these plants are just amazing except the little black sheep one that can't handle much in the way of nutrients.  That one's leaf tips burn when the rest sing happily along.  It's still week 3 I think and I know this is crazy from what I've read of other people's nutrient doses but I've got them on full dose Dyna-Gro (half teaspoon <2.5 ml I believe> per gallon of water of Bloom or Grow, Grow for the PCxCPH's) and they're doing great.

By the way Travel... that pic of your dog with his eyes censored out as if he is the grower is great.  I love it!

  5. Is it cold where u live this time of year?

  6. They sell those at the grow store, the owner was telling me they work great but they are hard to keep stocked because they mold pretty easily too. She scrapped the one brand because pretty much all of that molded but that one you posted in the link wasn't too bad, you just gotta make sure you really look it over before you take it home.

  7. what? Do u add water to the bag to activate it or something? If it were to mold would it already be moldy at the store and not happen 6 months down the line or so?

  8. I didn't really get into it with her but I am assuming what happens is moisture gets into the bag, then it gets trapped in there, its put into a store where it is warm, its just the perfect condition for mold. Plus whatever is in that bag is like food for mold too I guess....
I think it was an issue of packaging to be honest, I could tell that one product looked a little more "put together" then the other.
I think if you use the bag right away, you have it open and it is in the tent with the light and all that, I wouldn't be too worried about mold at that point. You just don't want it to be already molded and bring that home with ya, yaknow?

  9. Yeah I'm def gonna try this!

  10. It's all within reason for cannabis plants.  I live in southern California.  It's getting pretty cold for our standards as of late but that's still warm enough for the plants.

  11. As far as the product I linked to it's impossible for moisture to get into it.  It has a one way patch where CO2 escapes but nothing can come in.  Good luck guys.

  12. The issue was at a manufacturing level, the moisture was in there before they sealed it.

Just look it over and make sure its good.

I have been trying out these "CO2 bombs" off and on, basically you get a deep bin and fill it with an inch of water and then suspend it above your plants, then drop the bomb in the water. It sizzles and does shit and the CO2 wafts down from above, it lasts for 8 hours a bomb.  I don't know how I feel about them though, I haven't really been paying attention to it, but that is another option for CO2 as well. Maybe someone reading this has tried them more intensively then me and has some input?

  13. A gram on a plant....lol so by the time it dries you'll have less then a half gram. That would be hilarious to see. How tall is the plant? Got any pics?

  14. How can this be effective when you have an exhaust fan exchanging the air?

  15. Btw, those got shitty reviews on amazon

  16. The room needs to be sealed to hold in the co2 or its a waste. If you need to vent the light, you'll need to do it without pulling air from the grow. Pull air from outside through a vented hood or cool tube and vent it back outside

Man this business of not having a camera or cellphone is really starting to suck.  I promise you though, if you saw how frosty this stuff is you would be impressed.  No one in their right mind can take one look at this Pure Kush and say "Nah, I'll pass.".

The reality is so much better than the pictures on seed bank websites.... OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT ONE?!!!!!!!!

Well, the plant was about 4.5 to 5 inches tall (up to 12.7 centimeters) and it has 3 or 4 levels of budding going up the stem.

It is rather hilarious how damned tiny the yield is but it's very, very useful for testing strains to see what you want to dedicate the growing season to.

Initially I was going to go with Gold Leaf from Robert Bergman (ilovegrowingmarijuana.com).  But a lot of the cannabis seeds he sells come with crappy looking dried bud pics so I'm going to wait until after 2015's season to test it out and see if it really is luxurious or if it's just some random crap with a fancy name.

And believe me you guys who live in black market countries/states....  Just because there's a jar of cannabis sitting in a medical marijuana facility does NOT, by ANY stretch of the imagination, *necessarily* mean it's worth a god damned thing.

The truth is 90% of all the cannabis out there (in my experiences going from dispensary to dispensary, over a dozen different facilities, all throughout southern California between Los Angeles and Goleta.) tastes and smells like shit and if you find a good tasting strain you better get as much as you can while it lasts.  At the rate I'm going I get good tasting cannabis only once every 3 years.

Though now that I'm growing I'm hoping to put a stop to that BULLSHIT once and for all.

Anyway, so after Gold Leaf I was trying to track down some original DJ Short Blueberry.  All I could find (in stock anyway... it's so damned hard to find Blueberry in stock anywhere) was True Blueberry and, ironically, True Blueberry is NOT true Blueberry, it's a hybrid version of the original.  Unfortunately all DJ Short seeds are non-feminized (High Times did a comparison grow and feminized is NOT inferior, the truth is feminized grows a little shorter and takes about a week longer to finish but has the same potency, aroma, taste and actually superior side branch development) and cost about $130 US for a 10 or 11 pack.

I can't handle that kind of price at ALL right now so I'll be hitting up Seedsman for a $25 5 pack of feminized Greenhouse Pure Kush and a something-or-other dollar amount for a 5 pack of CBD Crew Mango Haze.

Seedsman has very good prices and charge less for shipping than Herbies but you have to pay for the stealth shipping decoy.  Even with that it's still cheaper than Herbie's.
Something like a $20 difference between the two on Mango Haze 5 packs so it all works out.  :D :D :D

No camera, no phone, and a 1 gram plant......lol what a day I'll pass good luck with your new seeds man

  19. Yeah pretty shitty, I know.  But oh well: full steam ahead towards the growing season.  And getting some kind of digital camera.  lol

Here's a pic of Pure Kush from the dispensary that sold me the clones.  Mine isn't quite this dank but I do enjoy the privilege of being able to say that my bud looks WAYYYYY better than the pictures on Seedsman and Herbie's.

Update:  I can't post that image because the format isn't supported for some reason.

It would be a lot better and easier if Grass City allowed you upload the image directly.  The official function for image posting involves URLs.  Let me experiment with the file attachment really quick...

Stop believing any pictures of anything from any place that is selling you. Its called marketing. Its going to require a pic from u to understand the greatness a new grower achieved....Im looking forward too seeing it I'll be back when you get it figured out. It shouldn't be too hard.
