I have a trusted friend that gave me a few partially full bottles of chemicals. Any advice on what to use, when, and how to use them? This is my first grow.I just put my plants into 12/12 like two days ago after a few months of vegging so I could top/tie down ect to slow down my serious stretching issues. (I had shitty lights for a while). The plants appear healthy otherwise, though the older ones are starting to get a redish purple to their leaf stems.
You can probably look up feeding charts for your nute brands. I know you shouldnt give them a lot though. And nutes can be utilized about 2 to 3 weeks of growth from seed. If you're flowering already they could deff use them. Just make sure you stop about 2 weeks before harvest to let your plant get rid of all the buildup. reddish purple stems are normally just trait signs. If you could post more about your setup, (Grow area, pot size, temps, humidity) pretty much anything about it, and it will be a lot easier to help ya.
I'm growing in a decent sized closet with CFLs. Just switched from crappy halogens to daylight CFLs then to soft white CFLs. 3 gallon pots. Plus a fan. I honestly don't really know the temperature in there, probably around 70. And humidity I don't know either but probably like 40 or 50 %. I'm using miracle grow soil (ik a lot of people are against it) but its the bigger yield that more than met my 10:10:10 npk requirements, maybe even 30 n.
Next grow try happy Frog Potting soil. 1 plant/3 gallon smart pot will last most plants 7 weeks. (my normal veg time) i don't add nutes until flower. My experience is once you over nute a plant you are hopping between multiple issues and chasing for the right solution. less is better.
Cal mag is awesome! I haven't tried the others. I think somebody already mentioned.. Read the label and follow directions.. A good rule of thumb is to use every other time you water and good plain ph'ed water in between. Start with less (half) what they recommend and build your way up.. Every soil is different so it's a trial and error type thing.. Don't get greedy and love your girls.. Love your nails💅 I am so open minded you should only think like me..
