PLEASE HELP AS I AM SOOO CLOSE AND WORRIED

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by Scooby831, Dec 19, 2014.

  1. I am in desperate need of some help and advise. I have a white widow that should be ready in a couple of weeks and I noticed that the finger leaves are greenish yellowish and the top of my buds are starting to turn a tad yellow just a little, but enough to have me worried. what should I do? please help. Can I save them or is it to late? my last watering was 3 days ago with just regular distilled water and nothing else and my ph levels are 7.5 humidity is between 40 and 45 and temp never goes over 80. I have a 300 watt led and a 150 watt hps, humidifier and radiator heater to control the levels. it has been cold here and I have wood floors so I also have a heat pad under and on at all timed day and night. I have a 4'' duct with fan going into tent for air and one opening for hot air to come out. What am I doing wrong and what is your guys opinion. I turned off led for pics, however I left hps on so hopefully the pictures can help you see what my baby is going through. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

  2. pot size? could be root bound, calcium buildup

if your buds are goin yellow, your lamps are too close. back off your lights a bit

  3. It's in a 3 gallon size pot and led light is 3ft away from the plant, however it's the lower buds that have a little yellow to them and my flower which is the top bud is not yellow at all just the finger leaves and I have heard that it is best to cut them because it can couse mold.

  4. So does anyone have a clue? I need to know if I should just wait and see what happens, if I need to just chop now and dry and cure, or if I should water it with nirvana nutes and cal-mag. Please I need to know what an experienced grower would do.

  5. that's called senescence, it's natural and normal, you're good to go and as a note it will continue to look more and more "unhealthy" when in fact it is just dying as an annual plant.

  6. So question is, my trichomes are about 50% milky and 50% clear should I still use nutes and cal-mag or just straight distilled water. What would you do and thanks a lot because I was sooo worried as I had 3 plants and 1 of my lights fell and smashed 2 of them so now this is the only survivor.

  7. you said 50% clear and 50% milky but are the trichomes showing any color yet? that's a good indicator of harvest time I heard.

  8. No color at all, just some clear and milky.

  9.
trichomes are one of 4 things i look for in determining when to cut, 1-trichomes 2- leaves and 3- pistils 4- water usage drops . when my trichomes are mostly milky with some amber, when most pistils are browning or turning colors, turning inward and not white maybe 85-90 % of the buds and last the leaves on most, i say most because not all yellow and drop alike, are dropping and looking like yours are. and when they reduce water consumption. when all four of these occur i plan on a cut.

trichomes alone cannot judge when a plant is ready in my opinion.

as for nutes i would just water that girl till she is finished, should be a week or two at this point and she really isn't using much nutes any longer. if you notice also probably using less water as well.

  10. Is it normal for the top of the bud to get a little yellowish? Thanks for your hel, I really appreciate it. It helps me alot. I will definitely take your advice on feeding it only water

  11. yep sure is. some of my girls look like they had been through a war by the time they are ready to cut.

  12. When the plant ripens, it pulls the nitrogen from the leaves (turns it yellow).  Ganja (as Al said), looks like shit just before it is ready in some cases.

  13. Nanners maybe ? Pictures are kinda far away to tell

  14. The tips of the buds a turning yellow more and more and starting to dry out. It doesnt look normal to me. I've grown a bubblicious plant before and it didn't turn yellow and dry looking. The leaves turned yellow right before harvesting but the tip of the buds didnt turn yellow. Later today I will take my camcorder and zoom in as close as I can to take a picture and give you guys a better look at wats goin on.

  15. It sounds like it is too warm.  Try raising your light.

  16. My light is 3 ft away from it. And its the bottom buds that are discoloring not the top buds.

  19. Check the underside of the yellowing leaves for pests. Insects love to lay eggs on yellowing leaves. Good luck.
