Wernicke-Korsakoff Syndrome

    Has anyone tried cannabis for this disease? It is very similar to Alzheimer's but caused by lack of thiamine in the body due to drinking and malnutrition which causes the brain to pickle. I have sat and waited 2 years(the amount of time they say it may take for recovery(only 20%have a full recovery))  for a family member to show positive progress. Unfortunately there has been no where near a full recovery. Memories are gone in 24 hours or even 2 hours depending. Right now I'd just like to see them not live such a dull, emotionless state.

    I had a patient like that. She had been that way for years according to her husband and son. Lived in the past a lot. Had been a heavy drinker for many years i guess. She never improved to my knowledge.
