quick question about seedlings

  1. whatsup grasscity.

i have a quick question about my plants. i currently have 3 white widow, 4 northern lights, and 2 kush plants. i germinated them in wet paper towel till the root came out then planted them in rock wool and put under 300w hps about a foot- 2 feet away. its not to hot i have a thermometer right in the rock wool.

my question is I've been making sure to not overwater them because I've had problems with that before. i waited until the rock wool is light to pick up then dip the bottom of the rockwools in distilled water. i did that yesterday at about 9am and i went down this morning at like 5am and the rock wool was really dry and 1 of the plants was drooping all the way down and a couple others didn't look to good. I'm pretty sure it was from needing water. so i watered them from the bottoms again and I'm watching them every couple hours to see how there doing.

my question is will they stand up straight again? there not dry looking and there still all green.

  2. I'm fairly sure you don't want the rock wool to dry out all the way. also you don't need 300W on seedlings, I use a couple CFLs when they are babies.. or can you put it on 50% power? Do you have Metal Hallide bulb or just hps? MH is better for vegging, hps for flowering

    pics?

  3.
yeah i learned that now haha. I'm just gunna watch them and when they get pretty light ill water them. and 300 is all i have cuz its a 600w light but i have it at 50% it goes 300-450-600.

and question about the pictures mann

is it safe? i mean its just for personal use

  4. You can buy one reflective cfl lamp at Home Depot or Walmart for like 8 bucks and you'll save money on not running unnecessary watts.

You're right, you are supposed to wait until your medium is dry before watering but I don't think it applies to seedlings. I usually get clones so I'm not 100%

Are you in a medical state? I have never heard of anyone getting busted for posting pics but you should delete the exif data. it saves GPS info that needs to be cleared first (I didn't know this at first and had to go back and delete A LOT of pics haha)

  5. yeah I'm in a medical state. and yeah do you happen to know of a file scrubber or whatever its called that works on mac. i couldn't find any

no one cares about personal grows in medical states

I got a free program called photoscape. it's a good photo editor too. you can right click and chose delete exif and delete gps. It's for Mac.

A trick I use on my phone is to take a pic and then screen shot the picture and post the screen shot. No exif or gps on screen shots.
