whatsup grasscity. i have a quick question about my plants. i currently have 3 white widow, 4 northern lights, and 2 kush plants. i germinated them in wet paper towel till the root came out then planted them in rock wool and put under 300w hps about a foot- 2 feet away. its not to hot i have a thermometer right in the rock wool. my question is I've been making sure to not overwater them because I've had problems with that before. i waited until the rock wool is light to pick up then dip the bottom of the rockwools in distilled water. i did that yesterday at about 9am and i went down this morning at like 5am and the rock wool was really dry and 1 of the plants was drooping all the way down and a couple others didn't look to good. I'm pretty sure it was from needing water. so i watered them from the bottoms again and I'm watching them every couple hours to see how there doing. my question is will they stand up straight again? there not dry looking and there still all green.
They will perk up in less than a day. If they were dry and you water them, they should stand up within a couple of hours (if that).
I don't know much but I too had a problem with some plants after a hot day. I was still trying to figure out how often to water because I'm outdoors and I can't just feel the medium for water weight. I received some advice to check the moisture content of the soil about an inch down (put your finger in down to the first knuckle) to determine when to water but that does NOT help you if you have a hot day!!!!!!!!! I was on track to water every 3 days and then we had a hot day and all 5 of my plants were drooping badly. I learned that cannabis plants are capable of really coming back from that if you handle it right and I regret throwing away the one plant that wasn't coming back in a timely fashion. NOTE: I am a first time grower.
