New artists like A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul... recommendations please

    I'm pretty new to hip hop, and at the moment I generally prefer older variations of the genre, or at least that sound (bass heavy, eclectic sampling, quirky lyrics, sounds relaxed even if the song is fast paced). 
     
    Can anyone recommend any new(ish) artists who are similar to the groups listed above?

    I like Chance the Rapper. He has the the quirky flow you like. All his songs are pretty chill. Also check out some of kid cudi's stuff.Vic Mensa, Black hippy. Maybe some A$ap Rocky stuff.
