Can marijuanna ease anxiety?

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by NUTSACK75, Dec 16, 2014.

  1. Lets say we have a very very nervous person who is worries 24/7 about everything, can weed cure/ease/help or do anything to reduce the stress level? Can a person having generalized anxiety use marijuanna as a daily medicine?

    Thanks alot!!!

  3. It really varies from person to person

  4. Agree with the other 2. It may help, but it could also magnify it 100 fold. If youre considering your first smoke, do it at home, or somewhere you feel safe, so if it doesn't work well with you youre not stuck somewhere.

  5. Don't do it by yourself on your first occasion, either. Do it with somebody you can really trust and get along well with, if you can find such a person.

  6. if said person is buying medical then go with a indica at lest from personal experience it helps with my anxiety but it dose vary alot from person to person it's best to do it while (clock just hit 420) doing other calming stuff but it's not a cure all and may increase anxiety it's worth trying a few different strains to see the effects though

  7. No. It will only multiply your existing state, as it is a psychoactive drug. Try alcohol

  8. a strain high in CBD will combat anxiety. find a lab tested strain of low thc high cbd and work with that. also get a strain with thc and bump the cbd with the thc if needed because they do work together synergistic as medicine. you can vaoprize first the cbd and then add amounts of each together to get the correct dose or smoke if that is the only way you have access to. or eating it will work but will be harder to find the correct dose that way...

  9. Depends on the person. Depends on the situation. Depends on the strain of weed.

  10. I use it for my anxiety issues, and to manage my panic attacks. it works pretty damn well. I use GSC, and while it does work, I prefer a strong indica when I'm having really bad issues.

  11. it depends on the strain and a lot of other factors.

it can be very beneficial in the right amounts and if the strain is right for you.

  12. It helps if you allow it to and the same goes for making it worse.

  13. also, cannabis mixed with black pepper will knock out all kinds of anxiety issues!

  14. I've been on a cocktail of anxiety meds for a few years now and marijuana is the only thing that has ever helped

My recommendation is for you to get a strong Indica.

Indica dominant marijuana strains provide a very relaxing and strong body high that is helpful in treating general anxiety, body pain, and sleeping disorders.  (ex. Kush, OG Kush)

A sativa high is one filled with creativity and energy which will cause paranoia the exact opposite of treating your anxiety.

I am not familiar with the recent slangs for street marijuana as I just get what I need and move along but if you are in a non-medical marijuana state you would be looking for (B's, Regular, or good but still regular marijuana which is normally Indica dominant)

I am Retired United States Army, one of the service related disabilities I was diagnosed with is Chronic Anxiety Disorder. I have anxiety attacks almost every day and it effects my daily way of life. I roll up a joint and light up some Indica and I feel the anxiety disappear.

I hope this was the information you were looking to receive.
