Existence

Discussion in 'Religion, Beliefs and Spirituality' started by wanderingtoker, Dec 16, 2014.

  1. Could something's mere existence, cause a universe to spontaneously come into reality, mass within that universe to be created, and life to evolve?
Example: stars don't "intend" to create gravity and heat, radiation, etc. they aren't intelligent, but these events still happen due to them.

So would something have that same process? Just high and started a huge conversation with my buddies lol.

  2. for all we know we're just a zit on the ass of an infinitely (theorized) expansive universe.

  3. There's so many deep answers that can be procured to define what your trying to dive into... such a beautiful question my man.  I suggest you go on youtube and type in Alan Watts or Benjamin Smyth as I can only regurgitate what they've already stated so eloquently...

Life is very impersonal and yet most take if VERY personally...this is mankind's downfall.  People believe life is something that's out to get them, or that they should receive some reward for their actions... or that the "bad"(subjective perception) people should be punished for their 'horrific' actions.  How does anyone know what's bad in the first place?

What's actually 'bad' is perceptive at best according the person perceiving what's bad.  What's bad to you or me might not be bad to some tribe in Africa.  Who's to say who's right?  Is there even a right?  Who's going to tell you what's right and what's wrong, and furthermore, how do THEY even know?  Where's the burden of proof?  Did they get some list of rules before they came into this life telling them what's bad and what's good?  No, of course not....it's all learned bullshit rhetoric.

There is no blueprint for life, everyone is doing this for the very first time and nobody knows what 'THIS' actually is thats going on outside our field of vision.

Some look confident in their posture....just remember, they're in the same mystery that your in, and are no better or worse than you.  They are also living this mystery for the first time.  Their confidence is a facade.

Go look at a newborn.  Look at it's innocence, look at it's awe at life, look at it's wonder and how it's just happy to be alive with it's wide eyed enthusiasm.  At what point do we all become brainwashed by a system that "tells" us how to feel, what to think, and how we should manage our lives?  Newborn's have it right...  we unfortunately have it very wrong.

\nThere may be something else though. Not a blueprint exactly, but a general direction so to speak. Consciousness could exist on more than one level, and these other levels, just as if standing on the mountain top rather than in the valley, could see more of what is there, but it is still we who experience what actually is.
\nYou are right to say that we are doing this for the first time, because for us it would always feel like that. Anything else would come out of our minds creating an idea that it was anything other than this. In a way, to even look at it as if there is something else which might be true, creates a paradox.
\nIt really doesn't matter what may or may not be the actual mechanics of reality, what matters is that we live in this moment, now, and what we do with it, what we feel about it, who we are in it, denotes how we deal with what happens in the next one.
\nWhat may be beyond that, without moving things into the land of belief, will either reveal itself or it won't. If it isn't there now, it's because it either doesn't exist in that way or isn't relevant.

What we call our existence is essentially the universe experiencing itself THROUGH us human beings as one of the many infinite forms that this great energy (all that 'is') has decided to experience itself.

We are an aperture for which the universe is seeing itself as itself through itself,  looking back at itself!!... and the development of our brains has made it so that we can actually KNOW this!!...which is profound!  Think about that for a minute... as it's hard to let that actually sink into your very being.  Knowing this intellectually isn't enough, you must bring attention to your very being with this understanding to really grasp all it's treasures if you will... some have called this the power of 'now' or 'is'ness.

Once you truly realize this and your able to bring attention to your being-ness and to know what you actually are, then you learn the real truth to your unfiltered existence without the ego....and then you are free.

This has been called enlightenment or awakening by some.  Namaste

  6. All awesome answers! But I was more thinking a new way to think of creation.

  7. Humans create with existing matter and anything that a human has created has always followed the law of consciousness interacting with thought to produce an idea which was then manifest into existence by reforming matter into the same shape as the idea. The thing to note in regards to how we humans create is that the process of manifestation has become exponentially faster over the course of millennia. I imagine that what created the universe worked under more or less the same process.
