Hey all I am getting ready to start my 2nd grow along with my 2 brothers (both at they're own separate locations. 1 doesn't post online, the other will be starting a journal when I start mine) and before I start buying my lights I would like some advice on our setups in general. I have pictures of mine so far, and a good amount of questions. This isn't my first grow so im not a newbie but giving autoflowers a try since I could use a harvest before spring. Anyway heres the deal: My setup: Closet: 5' x 1' 11" x 8' (shelf built in closet to increase grow space so each space is same measurements but 4' tall) 4" active air inline fan 4" duct LED lights with CFL (questionable which lights to go with for space. budget around $1000) Brother 1 setup: pretty much identical to mine except i believe his ceiling is only 7' and he has no attic. He also needs to build a false wall between his ac unit. He hasn't purchased anything yet and his budget is a lot smaller than mine (hes went half on my first order of seeds so he got a start lol) Brother 2 setup: False wall in barn: 6' x 12' x 8' has 2 1000 watt hps and 2 inlines that go with them but he has a lot of space he can utilize so debating putting another wall to separate the rooms and have a veg room as well as flower room but also trying to be as precautions as possible and avoid choppers. I ordered from Herbies: 5 Bomb THC Bomb AutoFem 10 Autopounder AutoFem 5 Auto Candy Kush AutoFem 5 Heavyweight 2 Fast 2 Vast AutoFem (Supposed to get 15 extra seeds too. probably throw them in bro 3's room since he has the space) The seeds should be here this week according to tracking so looking for some help fast guys so I can get prepared!! Questions: All of our goals are maximum yield. For Bro 1 and I we hope to get 1-2 lbs each half of the closet. Bro 3 has bigger dreams lol. I planned on using the SCROG but a little different then most (spreading chicken wire about 6 inches above pots, then letting plants grow through the wire then i can tie the canopy down to the wire as I please. I know the downfall is I wont be able to remove the plants until harvest but Im okay with that.). My first question is lighting. 1. Ive had my eye on 2 XTE 200s from advanced lighting. I like the rectangular coverage area which seems like it would fit nicely in my closet, but I would need 2 for the top and 2 for the bottom. Is this the most feasible option to meet my yield goals? Or are there cheaper options? I know what im asking to yield in that amount of space is somewhat difficult but I know it can be done, with a little help! 2. Bro 2 doesnt have anywhere near as flexible as budget as I do but, would like to keep his yield goals very similar to mine. He has split my first order from Herbies 50/50 so his seeds will be here this week as well. Heat is not much of a factor in either of our situations considering both rooms are in close enough proximity with the air conditioning that it could be routed to cool rooms if necessary. What are his best lighting options for that amount of space under $500? 3. Bro 3 has'nt ordered his seeds or constructed the room yet so hes got more time. Im splitting his order with his as well considering the more reading I do, with the kind of yields I want I should go with quanity vs quality, so my next question is there any autoflower strain I havent named that you guys would suggest? Im already thinking big buddah and cali haze since they seem to get larger then even the large autos ive found but it there any im missing? He has (2) 1000 watt hps along with 2 inlines that go with them but debating on using both at first to avoid heat spots. And for my goal how many plants should I use in that space? I know this is a long post and I gotta run to the gym for now but hopefully I can get some feedback from you guys!
