What the hell are we doing?

  1. I'm super high right now, and I just realized, what the hell am I doing? Of the trillions of possible human experiences, why am I having this particular one? This seems like a question everyone should constantly ask themselves, but we don't normally. It's like we normally just live our lives driven by midbrain signals guiding our behaviors - eat this, fuck that, sleep here. As humans, we have the ability for more complex motivations and behaviors, but society limits us. We are limited to the more basic midbrain motivations, unable to grasp the full potential of our cerebral cortex.

But yeah, what the hell? Everything about reality is fucking weird when you think about it. We should be constantly amazed and in awe of our world and experiences, but typically we just view it as "normality" and assume "this is how everything should be." But when you get high, these things become more apparent, and you can appreciate the bizarreness of reality for what it really is.

I mean, what the hell is going on? We're self-aware animals who are gradually transferring our cognition into a digital realm. It's so weird being self-aware and having an ego. We're not just living animals, we also have to constantly question ourselves and how we appear to others. Social cognition takes up the vast majority of our conscious cognitive processing. This places us in a strange loop between acting to achieve our goals and achieving goals to maintain the appearance of acting.

That's the point of self actualization.

  8. No that's the thing, we're just animals living on a rock flying through space. Yet we're self-aware and have developed the ability to transfer our thoughts into a digital realm known as the internet. That's fucking insane.

  9.
how do you know they are "our" thoughts? we've never traced the thought to its origin.
some people believe that brain does not create thoughts, but receives them.

but what you said in OP is cool.. but i bet you a lot of people are asking those questions... and some are finding interesting answers.

  10.
Either way it's insane. Whether it's our internally-generated thoughts, thoughts we received from something else, or whatever the case may be, those are all insane situations. No matter what reality is, it is fucking amazing.

  11. How about we are reincarnated "souls" living a Hue-man experience.. since the soul is eternal we becoming aware usually in "death" that we can experience various experiences of the Hue-man life episodes cause we innately know death is an illusion..just thinking out loud...

  12. Confucius had to be the tommy chong of his day. how else could he have realized these things.

It's why i don't like when people refuse to smoke weed. You are missing SOO much, and theres no reason really not too

  13. original thought originates in the heart as feeling(love) then electrically transfers those emotions to the brain to be processed and judged. the brain is the block(judge) from original heart felt thought and your true deep meaning of yourself and your place in existence remains constantly in question because of the filter(brain). when we move consciously out of polarity(left, right brain thinking) and into feeling we access more originality as felt through oneness in the heart and the connection of emotion in the heart to life itself. love sparks original thought in your heart (magnetic) and that emotion goes to the brain and turns electrical (polarization) . would be best to just stay in the heart yes?? and bypass the brain altogether- check out people with down syndrome, they are in their heart most all the time and do not fuck around with uncertain electrical impulses but rely on emotion instead.
