There was an inspection a few weeks ago in my apartment building where staff were going into places and looking at heaters, plumbing, blah, blah, and of course to see if any rules were being broken. Smoking, or course, is not allowed. Yesterday I received a notice saying there were "signs of smoking in the unit." My girlfriend and I smoke weed every night, a bowl or two via a bong. We light candles and open the window during the day for ventilation so it really shouldn't have smelled like weed in the bedroom (which is where we smoke). I made sure everything was put away the morning of the inspection, so I don't get it. There could have been some ashes in the trashcan beside the bed, but that seems like hardcore snooping if they saw that, but still very possible. I'm just confused as to how they came to their conclusion! The notice says nothing about what they saw, just that there were signs. I know weed doesn't cling to the walls like cigarettes do so that's why I'm confused. Our bedroom walls are not yellow! The only thing that looks visibly 'suspicious' is the bathroom walls. As the moisture builds up, streaks show up on the walls and they do have a yellowish tit to them. I have cleaned the walls before though! Let it be known however, nobody in my apartment has ever smoked in the bathroom! So I don't get it. Do they have some kind of testing they do or something? Or, did I just screw up and not hide something good enough or forgot to hide something altogether? I'm just curious to hear if anybody else has had something similar happen to them. Does anybody think it would be a good idea (or bad) to ask exactly why I received the notice? I just hate that the notice is so vague. want more details! I bought a vape yesterday (the magic flight box) so I'm hoping that will help. The last thing I want is to get in trouble and get fined!
