It's been fairly well documented that different government agencies employ spooks, or undercover agents, to infiltrate various organizations to gain information on it's activities. Even small and local activist communities, not just big organizations. Often sowing discontent. It makes me wonder if there are any members here who are working for a government agency - probing and collecting information. What do you think, possible?
If you're organizing in any way that threatens the status quo, you will be infiltrated. The government is playing for keeps.
On GC, probably not. GC isnt based in America and even though the majority of users are from the states (seems likely, I dont have any actual numbers), I doubt the NSA, CIA, GCHQ, etc, would waste resources on a stoner forum. I think you're more likely to find what you're asking for on mainstream news sites like CNN, Washington Post, Yahoo, BBC etc, or on Facebook, YouTube etc. Or I mean, maybe I'm just one of them telling you to look the other way?
After the Chris Brown posts about this and the constitution, this thread just fails in the entertainment department...except the spooks part, that was a new twist...
You'll find Spooks in the high times comment section. Seriously. Read some of the articles, there's one where a cannabis eradication squad member even said that it was a required reading for them, so I don't doubt they troll on HT.
Not on here but i know of forums where it has been confirmed(by certain law enforcement agencies(nypd for example) )that they've monitored the site. but thats only because there was an ongoing investigation and some things linked to that site.
Here in the southeast, that is not what 'spook' means... Anyways I don't doubt that GC has or has had its share of people spreading disinformation and gathering intel for one of the various government organizations. There are so many places where cannabis is still completely illegal and seeing as how GC is a cannabis based forum it is like a magnet to people who want 'intel' on stoners.
