I just tried fimming for the first time and now I think I fimmed it to low. Will she be okay? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
There really is no fimming too low, from what I understand. General you should aim for about 80% of new growth, ALTHOUGH, looking back at what the fim method actually is, it stands for "Fuck, I missed" meaning the originator of the method topped his/her plant too high. The way I see it, the worst case scenario is you end up with one split as opposed to 4, growth will be stunted while the plant adjusts to this change. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
You missed a FIM? LOL! she will be fine. It takes a bit to get it right, even then I am never sure i got it right until several days later.
You did not fim it too low. i have had entire tops of plants snapped clean off at the stalk. It gets real bushy as it promotes growth from the lower nodes. Cannabis is a great survivor. It takes a lickin and keeps on tickin. Ms. Jill, (one of the owners of TGA genetics), will cut the entire two or three leaf tops off just to make sure. She has a video tutorial on it. I am too lazy to look it up. Your plant will be fine.
