Mars II 400 question

Discussion in 'Lighting' started by kwsg, Dec 10, 2014.

  1. I am interested in purchasing a Mars II 400 but was wondering what the difference was in the standard spectrum to either veg or flower as an extra option. Is the standard spectrum a mix of half veg and half flower? So it's only 200 watts of veg and 200 of flower? And I would assume if that is true then when you order it with flower spectrum it is a true 400 watts of only flower? Also would the standard spectrum handle a 4x2x6 cabinet or possibly a 5x3x7 that I plan to build shortly, and I would want to veg and flower with the same light in the same cabinet. I hope this makes sense to anyone that can answer my questions

  2. Just get the standard spectrum. It works very well. From clone/seed all the way to finish, standard works very very well. The veg and bloom options just have more blue or red lights. Standard has a good mix of both. If you go with a option, light will only be good for the option you pick. Standard spectrum will do the whole grow.

  3. Is that grown with the Mars? I would assume so and thank you for input, where is the best place to order from? Directly from Mars hydro

I own 1 700w Mars II and 8 400w Mars II LED. I have yet to flower with them but Ive done a ton of vegging with them and they beat out HPS and T5 without a doubt.

Also if your area is " 4x2x6 " then do not get the Mars II because it is for a square footprint.
These 2 would be better for that footprint.

  7. They are only 3watt led I believe I would have rather had the 5 watt but I won't have neither now because I was able to pick up a 400 watt MH/HPS with digital fim able ballast and the MH Bulb is a sunmaster cool white which sells for $100 by itself and I was able to get everything for only $200, only came with an open reflector but still not a bad deal I couldn't pass it up

  8. Or just search in forums for mars led family and there is a person there from the company that will help you out.
