    What's up guys.

I started my first ever grow in hopes to significantly reduce the cost of my medicine. I have 200 actual watts of soft white cfl (I know I should have daylight for veg but I'm ballin on a budget). Got a fan running and a 24/0 light cycle. FFoF soil and big bloom nutes (not using nutes yet). They were rooted clones and transplanted into 2 gallon pots where they will continue to stay in.

Both plants were almost killed during the first days of veg due to a super high ph. That has been corrected and I have been using distilled water from then on. The plants have been growing great especially the larger of the two. The little girl wasn't growing quick so I decided to do a test run LST on her and so far she has reacted great to it. This is pretty much a test grow for me as after the holiday I will have a legitimate 400 hps and tent set up. Can't wait

Here's the babes at the last day of week two. Just today upped the light wattage from 150 to 200.

A day or so after this picture they taco'd really bad as well as some of the leaves curled. The little plant is still trying to fix its damaged leaves (they are now fully green and healthy just a little wrinkled from the twist. Will this come undone or should I eventually clip these leaves?

  3. Nice! I would step away from that fabric bag AKA (smart pots) always had bad luck with them. Nothing beats the good ole plastic black ones! What soil are you using?

  4. good to know, ill go with plastic black when i get the tent up and running for the next cycle. I am using Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, i have been looking into soilless mixtures tho for the next grow, you ever run soilless?

  5. Not a fan at all of fox farm! It drys out way to fast and the whole moistness of the dirt doesn't get touched. I should do a review on it. However there are plenty of FF fan boys an girls on here that might tell you different. Yes i have done hydroponics! when you feel confident after nutes and others shit youll add to your soil you can try it. Huge difference in yields and structure. Im doing an all organic grow and it is a TRUE JUST ADD WATER. ive never seen a plant so happy before! CHEERS!

  6. Can anyone help me with when I should start with feeding them nutrients? Just one the first day of the third week planted and want to atleast start by week 4. What ratio compared to the normal feeding schedule should I use?

just did a lil grow room upgrade and got some Y-splitters and clamp lights to up the total wattage to around 250 watts, i will probably keep them at this through flowering as if i add more i feel it will be too hot always in the area.

Just transplanted for the first time. The little LST girl took a bit of a beating during it. Her rootball split into 4 pieces so I did my best to hold it together and plop her into the new pot. She got some of the outta roots a bit damaged so I hope she takes it okay and pulls through. The bigger plants transplant went great I think. Rootball stayed all in one piece. Broke up the outta cm or so of the top sides once placed into the new bucket and filled with a 50/50 soil/perlite mix to add a lot of extra drainage. Before the ffof soil would stay wet for up to 5 days with not even much water. Hoping this helps if not I'm sure to learn something!

Oh haha sorry they were transplanted at two weeks of veg not since cloned. But they both seem to be doing amazing since the transplant. Super happy :D

But the clones were rooted in Rockwell cubes originally and is still in the big dirt rootball. I agree I like Rockwell for clones as well :)

^^ Reponding to LST very well! ^^

The plants were transplanted yesterday morning into their final #3 pots and a good amount of added perlite to the soil to increase drainage was added. Now been 24 hours since transplant and they are both doing great! Growing at a very good rate so there seemed to be minimal transplant shock even with the mistake on the little plant.

(^^most damaged & first leaf effected from pests^^)
Now my current problem and concern is I found out that I had an infestation  of stupid little fuggin thrips! Only a few of the lower leaves have been affected and very minorly but I would like to stop this problem now. I took out my plants and murked all the little fuckers I could find with my hands and eyes but I'm sure there are more.

What is the cheapest and safest (preferably organic) way to rid these little bitches? I've heard pepper concentrate spray and such, anyone have some input?

  12. Also anyone know if some new sets of leaves coming in only 3 is normal? Some of the new inner branches on the middle of the stem have only been sprouting 3 leaves where as the all the top growth and rest of plant is 5 or 7 haha. Still very healthy just 3 leaves.

Plants have been doing great!! Absurd growth rate now that they have adapted to the new pots and light cycle (17/7)

Going to wait a week or so and throw them into flower.
