Anyone listen to Progressive, Power, or Symphonic Metal?

    Anyone else listen to bands like Helloween, Symphony X, Blind Guardian, Dream Theater, Tool, Sonata Arctica, Nevermore, or Rhapsody Of Fire? The first Sanctuary album in 25 years came out in October. Anyone hear it? Its called The year the sun died

    I like some symphonic black metal but I am really hit and miss with symphonic genres. There is a really good metal thread here on GC as well. I'm mostly into black metal but I do like most genres of metal.

    yeah I like Symphony X and Angra alot. Used to listen to Hammerfall and Dream Theater a ton too. I mostly listen to hardcore and death metal though but I like a few bands in the genres youve listed.
