  1. Thank you in advance!

  2. I don't know what part of the globe you're living in, but these folks could probably get you close with a simple email.

Depending on where you live, try finding a gravel company that produces it's own gravel (might be tuff in the inner city).  Find where the production facility is, and ask if you can get some of their "crusher fines".  Collect the super fine stuff from around the crusher.  It'll look like flour.

  4. If in the U.S. You can order from buildasoil.com

We are blades, blades of grass in a field of green.

  5. Grading company/mulching company will have "rock screenings", you'll probably have to sift it if you want only the dust/powder.

  6. Use azonite, find it at garden shops or hydro stores

  7. Azomite is NOT a replacement for rock dust, and should never be thought of as such. It is an aluminosilicate clay, whereas "rock dusts" originate from igneous rocks.

  8. rocks and a big sledgehammer.

This is the best response, apart from finding stone cutting services near you. (granite countertops, headstones, monuments etc)

Look for gravel pits, call the owner/operator and find out where they run their crusher full time. Most sand and gravel companies (my local one is Schlegels) have one and transport what they need to crush to it, rather than hauling the machine from site to site.

If you live in the inner city I would likely call around and find stone cutting services (monument companies), then ask if you can take some of their slurry. There's a concern of "contaminants" (blasting agents, epoxy resin, etc) in some stone slurry so I'd reserve this option for last.

If you can afford to buy rock dust online I would before using stone slurry, but not before looking at my local sand + gravel companies.

  10. Definitely check for contaminants. The place I tried here a while back used some kind of sand in their cutting process.
