Bigger Pot

  1. Was wondering if i need to change to a bigger pot, from 2"-5 or 6"? ImageUploadedByGrasscity Forum1417885347.261418.jpg
Also if anyone knows what my plants r missing for ferts let me know? I figure its the nutes cuz the leaves r getting splotchy white spots or the tips r turning brownish white. I run AN grow, micro, bloom, an cal mag right now. PH is 5.5-6.0 i know its a big jump but i havent found what she likes yet but im guessin its closer to the 6.0, temp (lights on) 74-75deg. Humidity at 30, an needs to be a bit higher gettin a humidifyer very soon.

  2. R u serious 235 an no one got nothing? I see ima get tha same help here as i did with my aquariums.

  3. What is your ec/ppm reading. Don't waste your $ on a humidifier, I grow all the time with 20%.

  4.
Is that a cutting? Or does it have roots? What is the EC/ppm of your nutrient solution? If your are in the process of rooting, the pot size doesn't make any difference. If you have roots already then put it in your hydro system (im assuming that's a cloner)

That figure is mostly bots and people flicking through that aren't even members of the forum. Plus even members looking through are mostly people looking for answers and not answering them yet. Plus, your questions aren't really straightforward anyway because you haven't given any details about what you are doing

  6. would you rather have 50 people giving you shitty advice?

If I'm not 100% sure I'm giving good advice I stfu.

It was something i had laying around (humidifyer) but still havent added it cuz plants seem to be growin fine just dont jnow what shes not gettin to clear up the leaves an make em green. EC/PPM ?

  9. Yep, DIY cloner, she has roots right now from a 2" netti pot down to the bottom of the 5gal bucket, EC on my nutes is about 800-1000ppm really didnt think that mattered right now cuz the plant is so small? I was i guess i messin wit everyones high huh lol most this stuff i know from reading but not from experamentaition so i wanted to see if anyone out there has or had the same problem before. Thanks for the help an info too.

If it has roots then it's time to move it on to the final system. That's a very high ppm and I would think that is what is causing the damage to the leaves. I'd probably bring that down to about 300 ppm

  11. I didnt really think about a final system other than what i got an jus changein the top to a 5-6" netti pot an infill the space with hydroton an go from there. If i need another cloner i can make one real quick cuz i would have the top plus i got spare buckets. Now that the roots r in the water that much cant i put the air pump on a timer where it runs for say 30mins off 15mins on or something like that?

  12. The air pump needs to run 24/0 and have around 1 litre of air per minute for every 2 litres of nutrient solution

K right now i got it on a 18/6 timeline with tha light. BTW the EC/ppm is lower i made a mistake its only 150ppm thats my bad. I knew it was missin something LOL so i guess i gotta add more nutes to get the EC up. 300ppm is a good range for how long?

  15. Ive checked the nutes in my res an my TDS was 150ppm when i replaced everything checked 2 days later an it was still tha same. Now should i still add more nutes to bring it to 300ppm or am i at a good spot for now?

  16. If the plant looks good then it's probably best to leave it until you see a difference in the ppm. But sometimes when it's that low, and the plant is very small in comparison to the body of water the ppm might not move much at all

I clone at an EC of about 0.40 and I find that's about right for them for a couple of weeks and it needs bumping up a bit. That's about 200 - 250ppm depending on the brand of ppm meter you are using

  17. K i went up to 300ppm an the plant seems to be doin better i now wanna try LST to make it bushier. Anyway i need more help from ya? Busted some seeds now they are 2-3days old. I wanna do hydro like my other one i got goin. The one i got goin is a clone an was hard work luck i guess. Wonder what route i should take to get these into hydro that will be successfull?

This is a new set up im working on for a few seeds that sprouted this weekend tell me what u think? image.jpg
That top is gonna have 4, 2" net pots with lines/hose running from the hose on the pump to them an i wanna try a time for when the pump comes on like say 9am, 4pm, an about 11pm for tha last time. So the pump will water tha plants 3 times in tha 16hrs of lights on. Im gonna run with those rapid root plugs an backfill em with hydroten, once the riots hit the water its just gonna be air pump.

This is it all done. So is it better to have the PHed at 5.5-6.0 or is any ph ok for seedlings.

Yeah you can do that. I start my seeds in paper towels until they are a few inches long. I then put them straight in to clay balls and fill the res so the waterline is just above the tip of the tap root.

This way there is no rockwool or equivalent cubes, no drip lines, or water pumps to heat up the water. Just plenty of air, loads of air and keep the waterline steady, about half way up the pot works well for me
