  1. I thought this video was pretty cool. Like many others, I actually thought something was going to happen during 2012 and while a lot of stuff did happen such as the legalization of cannabis in Washington and Denver, it wasn't really on the level I was expecting.

  2. I'm presuming the ''Time Wave Zero'' didn't happen, so why is he talking about it?

I haven't been able to watch the video yet, but the CONCEPT of timewave zero seems to be almost universally misunderstood...I wish Terence was still alive and could speak on this, I'd be curious what he would say about it. But, the concept of timewave zero stands alone, independent of the date.

It's a CONCEPT which says the universe exists to produce novelty, and the rate at which novelty is produced increases at an exponential rate, until a point is reached where progress happens at a faster rate than can be consciously comprehended, at which point time itself loses meaning. One theory was this could entail the discovery of time travel, it could be the technological singularity, it could be in the fabric of reality itself, or any other number of things. But, the date passing without anything particular happening doesn't really disprove the theory itself. Just the date, which was a secondary aspect of the theory, and was not what the theory itself was about. This seems to be very sparsely understood. Terence himself said in a talk, 'even if I'm wrong about the date, even if this happens say a couple hundred years from now, the point still stands.'

  4. It does seem like we go towards higher and higher novelty, but it is already increasing at a speed we can't comprehend a long time ago, no one is consciously comprehending all the changes and they are just getting faster and faster and more advanced. To think it will reach a point where we can't "consciously comprehend" it anymore is silly because we will still comprehend bits and pieces of it and then that will become our new mode of comprehension. Even though we can't perceive an entire elephant from his heart muscles and his atoms moving around we can still comprehend enough information of his grayness and shape, etc etc to know it's an elephant...so this timewave zero thing seems a bit silly.
