Wet weed gmsfu

  1. So I recently purchased a half oz (I know, big whoop) but when I got it, the weed was not fully dry. It is not wet to the touch, but it is wet enough that stems don't break, they bend. Also when stripping nugs from a stem, it does literally that: pulls a strip of the stem off with it. Almost like a developing tree's branch. My dealer told me that the weed had been hung upside down in a hot room with 4 fans for 5 days. He weighed me out 14.05. I would like to know, is this weed still retaining enough moisture to significantly affect the weight? Bottom line: did I get ripped off?

  2. Yes, you are getting ripped off unless you like paying for water..  You should not have fans blowing on your ganja to dry it, that makes it dry too fast and makes it taste like shit.

  3. The outside can feel dry but that doesnt mean the inside is. You better send it to me for proper examination and quality control measures. * remaining product will be returned

(* proper examination requires all of the product)

  4. OP don't trust this guy, he is shady as fuck.  :) You better send it to me as he gets high off lawn clippings and can't REALLY give you a solid answer.

  7. The drying process was ok, sorry for not clarifying. The weed was taken from the process premature, enough to notice. Is this not fully dried weed still THAT heavy? Because I have vaped some fine and it got me as baked as it should have. What I'm wondering is: was the dif in weight from dry to damp big enough to significantly affect the amount I got?

  8. depends on how wet, but bud loses a ton of weight when its fully dry compared to right after harvest.

you could lose 30% or more weight as it drys

  9. If you lost a slice, or had a sore throat from all the water you are smokin and the THC you a boiling off, would that have value to you?  Buds shrink to about 50% of their size when wet.  There is a lot of moisture at the core.

I figured it was partly dry already so i said 30%, but you sir are correct

  11. Thanks for the info! I think I'm gonna wait a little while to let it dry and then weigh it out and see how bad I got ripped off

  12. After it feels dry to the touch, you will need to put it in a jar for a day and then dry it again.  Repeat if necessary.
