Sanctuary Gardens - Minions and Monsters

  1.
    Welcome to the Minions thread.

My mylar stays clean because I never spray anything on my plants.
If I was close by, I'd be at your place with some duct tape and staple gun, have you a shinny place to work on that marvelous tan of yours, in 2 hours.

I got rid of the cut of CSSH, got it from kid for a breeding.
I think I can capture it's quality and add some purp funk to the mix.

  2. do you have a pest batteling thread anywhere? this never spraying the plants has my interest..

  3. In reverence of the darkest day of the year.
With the sun at it lowest point, time of the solstice.

I begin the hunt for the fathers of the Nocturnal lines.
Satan's spawn contained in an embryonic shell.
Waiting for it's emergence from the underworld.

This skinny little bitch, looking all starved, is Noc #6
Just TP'd into 17 gal pot with 3x recycled soil.
Expect to see a pounder, she flowers prolifically.

This is a Little Noc #4
Another heavy yielder with punch you in the head stone.

I'll be looking for a fat leafed male for Noc #6
Also a thin sativa male for Noc #4
Starting two distinct lines of Nocturnal.
    Both should be great F-2's

  4. thassa creepy way to start a grow ;)

  5. thank you for the solstice reminder i thought today was kinda different we are farthest pount from the sun right now wooshscary

Creepy is one of my specialties.

  7. Long as it's not that "Uncle Creepy" kinda creepy.

  8.
No thread, just a 1/3 of a century of experience.

    Due diligence :metal:  FTW

I treat all plants at a young age.
Whether they need it or not, comparable to getting vaccinations for your kids or pets.
I have my favorite satan spray that I use at TP times. (can't mention it, bad JuJu)
I also treat for powdery mildew, via sulfer burn as a routine.
Much easier to treat a plant when you can hold it in your hands.

Also part of my bug prevention routine is regular, minor deleafing.
Getting your face into your plant is a good thing.
When deleafing, not only are you getting rid of buried leaves, but 'IF' there is bugs, you'll most likely toss some out accidentally.
If they are clean when put into flower, they'll most likely stay clean.

Merry Christmas to you and all the minions!

  10. Good luck on the pheno hunt cant wait to see what pops

  11.
    These will be seeds 35 - 50.
    Third pheno run this time.
Out of this 16 new beans, not expecting any better females, but if a few are outstanding, they get a lab test.
Mainly a male hunt this time out.

Need to create F-2's of everything I've hunted this year, then I can open some new seed later.

  12. Do ye spray the plants with the green can or do you just treat the area? I'm tired of dealing with it. We don't have to mention it.. Just the way you use it. ;)

  13. Damn wish I could pop that many but im stuck in a state of 2 vegging 2 flowering at a time but I bend the rules a bit cuz I dont count seedlings or clones as a plant yet

  14.
Rarely spray the tops in veg unless I see a flying pest.
White flies, gnats, leaf hoppers and the such.

    Green can - affirmative.
I take mine outside since I'm close to outside.
I don't care to breath it, so safety first.
I hold the plant up with one hand, exposing the undersides of leaves.
With short bursts while rotating the plant above you.
I use a light breeze to take the spray where I want it.
Indoors I accompany each misting with a puff of air to blow the lower leaves up.

Normal for me to remove any leaves that can't get their undersides misted.
I try not to saturate the leaf bottoms, just a mist is all that's needed.
I do it twice with TP's and a final spray just before going to flower room.

As anyone has seen from my lab tests, 0% 0 trace of any pesticides of any kind.
Like I've always said, not what you use, it's how you use it.

  15. Thank you sir. I super appreciate the info. It worked long ago when you first suggested it for me, but I moved away from it. I think it's worth revisiting.

    Thanks again! :bongin:
