I've decided to make a thread dedicated to 25 years or older J-tin,
This thread is for discussion of classic Japanese cars in all aspects from windshield trim on a X30 cressida or future classics it's all welcome here!
    But save the hate.
We get Japanese cars don't mean the same thing to some folk,

Anyway welcome to the J-tin thread.
Hope some people can learn some about japanese cars maybe even a new appreciation towards them😉

Feel free to contribute what ever you want within the context of the thread.

  4. Toyota 2000gt was the first Japanese car to sell for over a million dollars.
And it deserves it being as sexy as it is

  5. Man this is a beautiful car... it's kind of a shame they are so popular because I really want this to be my next build car, but being so popular it's kind of boring to have more of the same.

  6. They are popular for good reason but I feel ya.
That's why I like close to stock ones.
Swaping z cars is almost too easy.
Rare and refreshing to see a tuned l28 or so thing

My rx7 will officially be a classic car at the end of this month.
Just numbers .,but cool to me.
Crazy that 1990 is now the cutoff year for "classics" lol.

  8. I have a 71 Celica chassis, should I make it a monster?

  9. Shit if you want!
I'd go 18rg and have fun preserving it tho. I'm boring I know.
unless it's fucked in which case throw a 2jz in it and do some burnouts lol
Is it a coupe or hatch any pics? I love seeing rusty old cars.

I had big plans for this thing, I removed the drivetrain 8 years ago and haven't had time for it since. If I ever get I ever get around to it I'm gunna swap a 302 or even my 351 into it. Lots of guys will hate me for it, but I would have more fun that anybody.

Wow that is a really rare celica right there! Early taillights and 70s decals! Wow
    american v8 swap huh😒lol jk
There is tons of other cars that would handle the power much better and be even more fun.
But that's just me trying to save a celica lol.
it will be super fun still.
And that's what cars are about and it's not ruining the car if you restore it.
Any preservation is worth the effort in my book😉haha

  15. I just like to be different, I've seen enough 2j swaps and the stock motor wouldn't handle turbos very well. I originally was going to do a 22RE build for it but after daily driving my 400hp 180sx for so long I got addicted to big power.

  16. Here is that 180sx, not 25+ years old but 24 is close enough

  17. 180sx does that mean ca18det?
