Do you buy online or do you go to your local headshop? (Online vs Local)

    So my local head shop is about 20-25 minutes away. I usually prefer to go in person because I can grab my stuff and use it that day, usually on the drive back. 
     
    I've noticed that online stuff tends to be cheaper but I hate waiting. But now that I'm short of cash for a few weeks I might start buying stuff online to save a little $$$.
     
    Are you impulsive like me and would rather spend a little extra and get it now??
     
    or
     
    Are you the kind of person who would rather save $20 bucks and wait a week??

    I can take a 15 minute walk to my headshop.
     
    But goodness do I hate going. They are mad pushy on trying to sell stuff. Stupid pushy.
     
    I don't collect glass so I have a small arsenal. Water piece bought online. Spoon i bought from the headshop.
     
    Make my own hemp wick and I just don't use paper anymore.

    takes an hour to get to the head shop i like so ill generally buy stuff online but i have given them plenty of business

    I'll almost never buy glass online. Zero way to check proper air flow and inspect for cracks.

    I've bought a bubbler once online, but was from a reputable blower in California. It was nice til I dropped it.

    Does anyone here live in a state where they can't have glass shipped and there's no local headshops? No that would suck!

    A week? do you live in Siberia man? most delivery services are 3-5 days mostly 3 days If you live in populated areas or close to cali. I live on the east coast and when I get stuff rom aqualab I get it in 3 days tops.
     
    I usually choose to go to my headshop because I get very low prices since I met the owner ;) unless Im getting something that they dont have which is very rare (like my HMK vapor curve). Then I go online because I dont have a choice. Also my LHS doesnt sell Sovereignty so I got my G-line online as well. Also my Cosmic nail comes from the interwebs. But thats a very low percentage of my smoking gear. LHS all the way!!!  :hello:  :smoke:  :smoking:  :bongin:

    Nah I live in the Midwest. For some reason our postal service is pretty unreliable. Multiple lost packages, delayed packages, damaged goods, my local usps fucks shit up.

    One time I ordered something online, tracking showed it came, usps people refused to think it's their fault... Seriously over a month in a half later my stuff comes out of nowhere... Showing it had been sitting in that same facility for close to 2 months.

    I can order 5 things online and maybe get 3...

    I also ordered some stuff at the beginning of November, and guess what? They fucking lost 1 of the 2 packages I ordered and luckily the shop was nice to do a reship.

    That's why I said a week lol. Shit I wish it would take a week!

    And it seems like it constantly happens with me, usps just fuckin hates me!

    I've never bought a piece online. I remember when i was younger it was a special day when one of the homies was gonna buy a new piece.

    Finding a ride to the shop by the beach that didn't ID, picking out something heady, negotiating the price down, get him to throw in a travel bag, a poker, and two lighters :lol:

    anybody have similar experiences? I think my next piece I will buy online though because I'll probably get a better deal.

    Maybe try a different delivery service??? idk if thats an option. USPS tends to fuck up more than others.
