Thankin bout doing a switch from clones to seeds for my next grow..i wanna see the little buggers start from a little seedling. I'm planning on purchasing this cheap humidity dome off of amazon so my question is.. what's the cheapest lighting solution that I can purchase to ensure that the little plants grow healthily Also, feel free to shoot any recs on small, cheap humidity domes! Thanks again!
Just get some cheap CFLs. I don't use humidity domes for seed and I keep a t5 fixture on 'em. Cost me like $80 off htgsupply.com Just get some cheap CFLs. I don't use humidity domes for seed and I keep a t5 fixture on 'em. Cost me like $80 off htgsupply.com
Seeds don't really need that much light when they're starting. If you can spare the extra cash you should do the small t5 fixture, not sure of the brand, but anything you get off htgsupply.com is gonna be quality. If you're looking to save some daylight cfls (6500k) will work just fine. Get 3-4 of the 23 equivilant wattage so you can keep stretching to a minimum.
These make great early vegging lights, http://www.ebay.com/itm/E27-110V-150W-5500K-Photo-Bulb-Studio-Video-Photography-Daylight-Light-Lamp-CFL-/191256021774?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c87bf4b0e
