It looks like maybe heat stress and over watering. What do y'all think and can I correct it? Should I transplant to the five gallon?
No she's not a goner and no don't transplant a severely stressed plant. Correct the problem and the plant will spring back to life...I've had plants wilted way worse than that from under-watering and it only takes a day or 2 for them to pop back to normal.
I turned off the lights for the scheduled down time of 6 hours. The plant has already perked up. I noticed they seem to enjoy their dark time and even have growth spurts during lights off.
Yeah I always run mine on 18/6 during veg mainly because of the power bill lol But either way you look at it..24 hours of light isn't how it occurs in nature.
I definitely agree with having some "dark" time during veg' growth. It's hard to tell from a pic' taken from the top, but I'd be willing to bet that what you're experiencing is due to overwatering. If your plants are wilting from lack of water, the stem AND leaf will droop. If your plants are overwatered, the leaf stem will stay rather "erect", while the leaf itself will "droop", or curl.
