Hi Grasscity, I just signed up to share my indoor micro grow and to get a few pointers from the pros. This is my first indoor growing attempt in 5 years and prepared better this time.

I started off with 2 bag seeds in a quickly thrown together cardboard box and things progressed very well for 3 weeks, so I upgraded to a wardrobe setup.

It's now been 5 weeks since the first plant sprouted and almost a week later for the second much smaller one. Bigger one is in a 6L planter and the smaller one in a 2-3L planter ready to be transplanted in a few days.

    Baby #1

This run is more of an experiment and I plan to use organic soil and neuts for the next run with 5 Tangerine Dream feminized seeds. Any information on a good organic mix as well as neuts that is easy to shop for and prepare would be greatly appreciated.

This is my current soil for this test run.

This is the current neuts I bought and planned to use, tried a bit on the smaller plant last watering, didn't wanna risk it for the big baby if it's not the right stuff to use.

Currently using 16x "60W" 13W CFL bulbs with both 2700K and 4100K spectrums. Since LED lighting is extremely expensive, going to leave LEDs for a later time and stick with the CFL setup for now.

    Thanks for reading!

  2. Looking very good for CFLs! How big is your wardrobe? What are you using for ventilation? Looks like they are very happy. Keep it up! :bongin:

  3. Going pretty good indeed, was going to start 12/12 today but gonna give it another 3 weeks with all the space.

The wardrobe is approx. 2-2.5 ft wide 1.5-2 ft deep and 6 ft tall. About 1 ft of the height will be used for raising the lights giving about 5ft for growth.

Got a computer fan mounted through the flimsy back part of the wardrobe and an oscillating fan that I turn on for about 6 hours a day. The wardrobe is not sealed, so it has passive intake all over. Temp stays between 75 and 82 and humidity between 40 and 50. I thankfully don't have to worry about smell so my out take has no resistance from a carbon filter, and just one small computer fan has done the trick.

A bit skeptical about using neuts seeing as it has copper and such in it, testing it out on the smaller one. My outdoor plants each year just do their own thing from throwing seeds in ground until harvest without adding anything and is good smoke, is adding neuts necessary for indoor?

Was just checking out your stealth dresser turned multiple cab topic and about half way through, pretty neat multi setup you got going on there. After finishing the wardrobe I wanted to do a few more but just don't have space. I know where to look for ideas when I get a bigger place.

    Enjoy the growing and toking!

  4. Haha, man I typed out a decent bit and of course, the app crashed :p

Wow tons of room vertically, very nice! Its about the same size as my HPS cab. Lucky that you don't have to worry about smell, lol, since its not sealed and your temps are fine I'm sure that will be enough airflow

I'm not sure about nutes in soil cause I grow hydro so I feed every watering, but I'm sure if you start to see deficiencies you may have to add some stuff. But there are tons or organic options, I'm sure someone else would have more info on that though, since I only grow veggies in soil, nothing too hard on the nutes like weed lol

Its funny how quickly you find yourself going from one cab to multiple cabs LOL. Trust me, you don't need very much footprint to squeeze some buds in ;) even some some speaker boxes can yield ya so good smoke LOL. This micro section is awesome, so many unique ways to grow in a tiny space

    Best of luck bud!

  5. Subbed in! Can't wait to see your tangerine dream plants start up. I'll be running the same strain.

  6. Hey thanks for subbing. Gonna be starting those Tangerines likely February, really looking forward to it. :)

Been a few weeks, here's a little update. It's been almost 7 weeks for these fellas and I'm gradually adding darkness to the timer, it'll be 12/12 in another week and a bit. Tried out some of the neuts a while ago for the second plant and just the other day some for the first one. Don't know if they need it but figured a bit wouldn't hurt. Used less than a litre of the mix between both of them.

    Here's some pics!

#1 just keeps gaining height, lots of under growth just going and going

#2 still a good 4-5 inches shorter but very perky leaves and got a couple extra neat pics 24 hours before the group of pics just taken

#3 this little guy sprouted after I planted 2 new seeds from a good bag of dank I got the other week. It's about 7-9 days old.

Since the other ones are about to start its flowering, I really don't wanna ruin this little one so I'm going to try to keep it alive in a little make shift box with 1 or 2 bulbs, LST it a bit and hope for the best.

Lastly, with it still quite spacey in the drobe and for something else to see come to life, I started a load of tomatoes from a fresh tomatoe after drying out the seeds, and also some basil seeds after that I had laying around in a little pack.

    Here they are haha:

    Happy growing! :)

  7. Hell yeah dude! I love that idea! I want to look into using my custom organic super soil for growing vegetables!
As far as your newest plant, it's blowing mine out of the water, my seedling is 6 days old and is just growing its first internode and real fanleafs.

Organic is definitely in my sights, still have to do some research before going shopping. Just a small update, it's now been 8 weeks of vegging and currently lights are 14 on 10 off, in 2 more weeks the gradual change to 12/12 will be complete. The first plant is starting to show its budding, reminds me of a few big outdoor plants from the past, quite exciting.

On a side note, I only used a bit of the neuts a few weeks ago once on each plant, didn't see any difference just been normally watering otherwise. They seem to love their routine so I won't mess with the neuts again unless they show any signs of lacking.

  10. Looks like male pollen sacs in the node in the very middle of the photo. Looks like its clusters, if so, you got a male, toss before they blow pollen all over the place!

  11. Wouldnt use soils with fertilizer for 6 months going to effect the taste

  12. Hey thanks for the pointers, I've never seen a male before so that's good to know! This grow cycle is just testing the box's environment with bag seed which has been a success. Not going to be killing any of them regardless of sex, and I'm not to worried about the quality of the bud from this grow. For the next grow cycle in the new year, the Tangerine Dream seeds are feminized and will be with organic soil. I will know after these are full sized and finished how many of the dreams can fit in the box for a full grow. Hoping for at least 3 at a time but it's getting bushy in there as it.
