Hey guys! So I'm searching for a good strong strain that I can start in the summer. As you know when ordering seeds from Europe it takes long so I want to start early.
I have done some research on the 818 headband and the yield is heavy, but has anyone grown this strain outdoor? How much should I expect? How is the quality when grown outdoor?
I grew some seeds of green ribbon this this past summer and I got 7-8 lbs per plant so I guess I'm aiming for something similar.
If not 818 headband, then guide me with some suggestions. Thank you.

Nice plants. I would say that 818 should be close to what you got last harvest. I think 707 headband may yield slightly more. It looks like you have things down. Maybe grow 707 and 818 headbands side by side.

  6. Thank you! I have tried to get a hold of Humboldtseeds on the 707, but no luck.

  7. Humboldt seeds blue dream grows large if yield is your main concern. Grape krush from emerald triangle as well. Ill be running both this year outdoor. Thinking about running ETs new Blackberry OG as well as im fond of blackberry. Debating diesel dipped cookies from CG as well. Gorgeous plants btw FG. Elephant trunks.what dimensions were the holes u dug?

  8. thank you for the guidance. I will look into those strains. Yield is one of my concerns, but I'm also aiming for quality. I know there's strains that yield massive, but quality is not there so I'm staying away from those. The holes were 3x3.

  9. I definitely recommend the 818 Headband. It was one of my 2 best yielders last season and its my favorite smoke of my current stash. It was hardy against pests and nutrients. Just make sure you stake her up well to hold up those dense buds. You should have no trouble with her. If you start multiple seeds, look for the short bushy pheno for the best quality meds. Great taste too.

  10. Great intel, Grown anything else from CC that did well outside? (anyone can chime in)  I was thinking about testing out the "purple crack" to see how she grows around here. Cant find a single grow report on her though. THx

  11. I absolutely loved their Deadhead OG fem that I grew he year before last. I have some reg and fem Deadhead seeds that I bought for this season if that tells you anything about the quality. Frosty white. A joint would be dripping with reson half way through smoking it. She would cake my grinder with trichs. BUT she isn't nearly as tough of a plant as the 818 was. She needed lots of pest management for mites. The mites loved her as much as I did. Even with that knowledge, I still want to grow her again. ;)

I have a lot more of their gear to run soon, but the Deadhead and 818 are my favorite of what I've ran so far. My Skywalker randomly died as a seedling. The Blackwater was hermie. I'm most interested in their Original Sour for strains I haven't tried yet. And their new purps are intriguing

  12. I like everything from hso I wouldn't spend money with cali connection.. what type of smoke are you after? when do you need it to finish by?

  13. CC has great tasting stuff you just have to see who trys
to spit nuts out...  The Alien OG is the best i have found
    coming from CC

  14. Oh don't waste money on Blackwater and Jedi is still kinda ify

100% agree with Hillbilly up here. I'm a flavor grower. Flavor and a well balanced potent high are what I look for. Unfortunitaly my favorite tasting strains come with hermie tendencies from way back. Sours, OG, they'll all pass on hermies.

  16. sours are so dank! I been on a sour kick for years..

  17. I've grown Cali connections GSC. It's done well outdoors and produced some quality meds. HSO is another great seed breed and I have grown and plan to grown their strains in the future.

  18. 707 is the area code for Humboldt county. 818 is the area code for SFV in L.A. I'd go with the 707 headband.

  19. I've grown Deadhead OG and colas were massive no jk. Down side was that you have to finish before Oct because it too dense for moisture and mold. I didn't have problems with pest. I stop growing it because it had no OG characteristics, it was fruity vs fuel smell and taste.

  20. Love the fuel smell earthy taste. I don't have a time limit to finish. Ideally I like finishing late Sept early Oct to avoid the dew.
