Is the price acceptable?

    Hi all.

I'm kind of new to buying weed, but recently I did buy some. I was told it was AK-47. It was a gram. I know because I weighed that shit. I was charged $20 for it. Does that seem reasonable? Did I overpay or underpay (if "underpaying" is even a thing)? I'd post pics, but I don't have a good camera (and I'm lazy). I just want to know for kind of a future reference. If I did get, like, get ripped off, I just won't go through that person next time.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to answer stupid, noob-ish questions!

  2. You didn't get ripped off..buy more next time if you want to get a deal.

  3. You gotta post pics. Anyone can take shitty Reggie and say its the dankest strain ever
And 20 for a g of dank is the highest price that's still reasonable. Over 20 you're overpaying. I pay 20 a g in NJ

  4. No you did not get ripped. If you got it from the streets, then it's a fair price.

  5. its interesting how the street price for a gram a weed has stayed $20 for as long as I can remember.

hey old school smoker, how much was it back in your teen days?

The regular score was a $10 "Lid" or ounce. sometimes measured as a 4 finger bag.

  7.
Yea deals get way better when you dont have to make change for a $100.00

Bring a pile of 100's and the price drops a lot.

Oh yeaaa a pile of 100s  :ey:

    Come buy it all lol

but it was just as weak in terms of potency too, right?

  10. So expense for dimes it seems. I live in Canada and its $5 a gram and $10 for TOP shelf.

  11. In my area getting a gram for 20 is the norm. I've never paid less unless I bought in large quantities. And never been asked to pay more than 20

  12. I usually pay around $20 a gram in Northern Indiana

  13. In PA $20 grams seem to be normal but if you buy an eighth or quarter at a time you can get it cheaper. Just bought a quarter of dank for $80 last night so thats like $11.43 a gram

  14. $10 an oz for mexibrick. $40 an ounce for Panama red, columbian gold, or maui wowie. $40 for an oz was a shitload of money back in 1975.

  15. Yea you paid a fair price especially for a actual strain not something that someone grown who doesn't know what it is or grown well.
    Standards I go by is
    $20 per gram | $40-60 eighth,3.5 grams | $80-120 quarter 7 grams | $150-200 half 14 grams | $300+ Ounce/Oz/ 28 grams
That's for official strains, bud you can google and it looks just the same, smells the same, gives the same effects. The only way you can "KNOW" is by the descriptions being what you experience. Now in 2014 we have apps like Leafly which has majority of strains with full descriptions and lineages. But those prices are for "Named Strains,Headie,TopShelf" if it's back yard boogie just knock those numbers down 20-40 dollars for each a gram would be about $10 overall for "ari or middies"
