I'm assuming you are at least 18, considering you need to be at least that old to be here, so I would think your best move is to get out of there. It sounds like she has a very vague line in the sand and the destructive addict is going to come and go as he pleases because you have the problem, not him. So, take your friend or boyfriend or ex or whatever and move somewhere else. It is going to be uncomfortable, you might have to enlist other friends to help make ends meet, but it is going to be much more positive and safe then staying in that environment. I'm sure there are charities or agencies available to help you find assistance if you need it in order to get out of there. Thats what I would do.
