Ferguson blowup-what would you have done?

  1. After hearing the facts that the grand jury was presented, I'm having a hard time understanding how some people think it was an injustice that Officer Wilson was not indicted.  If you didn't catch the facts, here's a brief summary:
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6'5", 300 lb. Michael Brown robbed a convenience store and five minutes later, a police officer tried to arrest him for this crime.
Michael Brown then shoved the police officer back into his squad car and assaulted the police officer by punching him in the face and slamming the officer's car door when he attempted to get out.
Michael Brown then tried to take away the officer's weapon. The police officer feared that if Michael Brown took away his weapon, Michael Brown would use it to kill the officer. The police officer then used his weapon to stop Michael Brown from killing him by shooting Michael Brown.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wouldn't any police officer (of any race) have acted in the same manner?  If not, what would you have done?

I would have moved out of Ferguson.
Edit: Oh you mean from the officer's perspective? I'd have shot that fucker six times. Twice in the head.

  3. I don't understand it either..the people protesting are obviously clueless to the facts, either that or they just want an excuse to take to the streets.

"Hands up, don't shoot" is a lie..his hand weren't up, as eyewitnesses confirmed.

  4. If anything I feel bad for the officer going through all this, what about you? I mean I can understand a family mourning their loss, but they didn't exactly set a good example for their son to end up like this, I imagine.

  5.
Yea I do feel bad for the officer and his family, all this just for him doing his job.

But thank god CNN is all over it..headline "The shooting of Michael Brown" with a slow, sad tune playing in the background.

  6. I think the fires have been started by out of towners. Its a pyromaniacs dream right now.

  7. Its true, if you are craving a dose of free for all chaos its the perfect place to be right now. Break, steal, burn whatever you want.

  8. Not gonna lie, a little pillaging probably relieves alot of stress

  9. The whole thing is 100% bullshit.

    eyewitness are fake.
the original statement from the officer and victim's friend are both fake.
the only thing that happened is another human being got killed that day over stupid reasons.
the same shit happens every day, especially in other countries where American and other soldiers alike shoot/kill innocent (or not) people without regard for humanity.
And what do these 'fine' Americans do after the fact? they riot and loot like a bunch of fucking idiots.
Why anyone would live their life vicariously through a bullshit headline is beyond me. People have lost the will to live for themselves and are looking for any reason to cause chaos, which the gov't/ police will hand them on a silver platter.
Once this all blows over, people are going to be looking for the next headline. any excuse to turn against humanity and add excitement to their pathetic lives.

First of all the officer admitted himself that he didn't know Michael Brown strong armed a convenience store.  According to witnesses the officer grabbed Michael and pulled him into the window of the police unit after words were exchanged.  This was after he stopped Michael and his friend for jay walking.  The officer has had issues in the past with racism and was part of a very racist police department which was disbanded and the officers involved reassigned to different departments.   In my opinion, he was out to harass those young men and it turned deadly.

I think the officer was pissed that Michael Brown "disrespected" him and wanted to teach him a lesson.  He did.  Brown is six feet under.  Great lesson.

  11. I am in support of a purge. Clean up the trash ya know

  12.
Funny you mention the Purge lol Netflix just sent me The Purge: Anarchy in the mail today!

  13. To be real if someone was grabbing for my gun I would have shot them until I saw they couldn't get up anymore and in the heat of the moment I would't be thinking "Im not gonna try to kill him". Coming from someone whos been shot at before

Lets not pretend like any of us here know the true facts. We just know narratives espoused by media outlets that are spun in a particular direction. The grand jury was likely presented facts that the public doesn't know about.

If I felt like my life was in imminent danger I would not hesitate use potentially lethal force. But if you were asking me what I would have done in that situation from the perspective of the police officer, I can't give you an answer. I can't envision myself being a cop because fuck the police.

  15. What gets it for me is the fact that Brown RAN away from the officer to avoid being shot .

They say he stopped and the officer said he turned around and charged towards him.

I just feel as an officer , your reaction time should not succeed critical thinking . I think he should've shot Brown to injure not to kill seeing how the young man was unarmed . Involuntary manslaughter at the most .

I clean table ... I clean mouth ... You breathe deep

  16. I agree with this cops should be trained to injure not kill, but we can never know for sure if that officer had the reaction skills to injure him instead of killing him

  17. The quote that he didn't know was false....read the report issued by the grand jury...

  18. And don't forget that Obama sent 3 government officials to Michael's funeral

  19. Defending thugs just because they happen to be black is racist.
