ADvanced Nutrients Questions?

Discussion in 'Advanced Growing Techniques' started by colton620, Nov 25, 2014.

  1. I'm in need of nutrients because I'm just starting growing. When it comes to like the Advanced Nutrients. The complete nutrient lines range from $350-850. How useful is the price difference and how long will they last. I don't see the point in spending $350-850 on nutrients if they'll only going to increase yield and quality by a little for a couple grows. Sorry for noob questions I just don't understand where to start with nutrients.

  2. Start cheap. If you don't even know your growing style coco, soil, hydro yet go with something simple. General Organics has a Go Box for like $30 with everything you'll need. cyco, a couple other companies do similar packages.

Advanced Nutrients SOME would say increases yields etc. but if you are starting you don't have the skills to make the extra money worth it. Once you get your legs under you and dial in your setup then the extra money may lead to some big ole fat colas.

  3. I use base aN and it's great you don't need many additives

  5. If your just starting out go with general hydrophonics much cheaper and pretty close to the same results imo I switched AN sensi plus additives I do like the product but it is much more expensive.

  6. Right on!  The stuff works and is simple to follow, I can't speak enough good about it.  I swear they "sit pretty" when they know I am making their dinner and want to "shake" when they see me with the feeder sprayer bottle.  The girls love it.  Liquid seaweed is just one of those things that all plants should have once a week IMO.

  7. I've done a few grow comparisons and every nute gets decent and comparable results. The GH Maxi gro and bloom dry nutes worked as good as any and it's dirt cleap.

  8. I have to agree with unixhelp. I've used numerous nutes at various stages, and can't say I really notice a whole lot of difference.  Get your air, co2, light, veg process, scrog setup, etc all dialed in, and that will have as big an impact as any nute change. imho of course.. :)

You can get it for way less that that I got my sensi grow sensi bud big bud and bud candy I use great white as my beneficials that's not from advanced nutrients but it works great and all that only ran me about 150-175 if you really feel like you need the other stuff like bud igniter and overdrive and the other additive they're only like 25 a piece for the little ones. I'd go to the hydroponics store instead of ordering offline too cause they usually cut you some deals at least I know my guy does

  10. Fox farm grow big and big bloom is good for starters too easy to use you only need two bottles and it's cheap

If it didnt have to be organic based, jacks classic 20-20-20 workz awesome, $11 at local greenhouse. I use this in varying strengths the whole grow. 50-50 peat/perlite soil with dolomitic lime. Feed every 3rd watering. Over time ull learn what works best for ya an develope a system. Peace an good growing:)

  12.
if u cut the dose in 1/2 it ranges from 350$  and 1/4 makes it range from 175$ .  Strain comes first then price of food. sativas are cheaper to grow nutrient wise but indicas are cheaper to grow electricity wise.  if you dont sog then price of nutirents is not something you should be factoring in to the cost of production because a % of what you spend goes to guinea pig land to get tested on new products that you will probably never use instead of the money going to the family of the person who invented the product.  its why some people got mad at advanced nutrients because they dont believe anything comes from one person unless its something unique and there is absolutely nothing unique about plant food or strains of cannabis . good ,bad, average and new are the only things the people making those products are thinking about.

  13. Happy frog/fox farm soil and a inexpensive 2 part nutrient (GH is fine) is a fail safe way to start growing. Learning to read your plants is a skill learned after several grows and organic growing requires this skill...
    There that's my 28$ worth 😇

I am so open minded you should only think like me..

  14. True, for an easy first grow I'd recommend the fox farm line. The grow, tiger and big bloom will range you about 40$ but it will last you about 2-3 runs. Also pick up a bag of
Foxfarm ocean forest or happy frog for 20$.

  15. I got Farmers Pride from Blue Planet Nutrients. The "organic" line. Everyone over on thedankden.com uses them including the big YouTube user Mr. Tight if anyone watches him.

  16. Try cyco platinum kit. it is around 200 something depending on where you get it. it's everything you need veg to flower. not an expert just tried them and really liked it. I have posted pictures in another section of some results I have had.they are under grow design section. New to grass city please forgive any mistakes

  17. I've used GH, canna, heavy16, AN, h&g and now cyco. Can't go cheap on the nutrients. Other wise your going to post pictures of your leaves asking why it looks the way it does. Plus a great complete line of nutrients will make for less of a head ache in the long run. The hobby isn't cheap man. But I promise you won't regret good lighting, a solid medium and good nutes.
