Looks aluminum. Lots of people smoke from aluminum pipes All it needs is a screen once you pull the innerds. The head twists off, empty the bulb, insert stainless steel screen through the top. Itll be a straight pipe, like a one hitter with a fat bowl. Remove any rubber parts. If you have a tap and die kit (few bucks harbor freight) you could tap it and screw in an elbow made of brass or aluminum, then youll have a bendable pipe for diffusion. Id soak it in alcohol (91%) or simple green over night to remove the paint if there's any inside. if youre gonna do somethin, might as well do it right! ~ poke
You can make a pipe out of just about anything but that doesn't mean you should. I'd just buy a cheap one hitter or something if your looking for a cheap pipe for a quick toke.
