  1. Hey! Merry Christmas Guys!

Quick update from the top chamber!

The soil Deep Sweet Grapefruit is doing really well! It has been fully topped 3 times and will grow out over the next week or so before transplant to its final 5gal pot!

The DWC plant is growing like crazy and is catching up to the soil plant! It has bee topped once and will be topped at least once more.

Hello fellow blades! I have an update from the bottom chamber today!
    1419566240644.jpg

First a group shot of the Blue Widow. They are all doing pretty well and should show sex soon! They have a bit of an Nitrogen deficiency due to being root bound in the smaller containers!
    1419566459146.jpg

Next is a group shot with 4 of 5 Blue Cheese. They are a little bushier than the blue widow I find. Again the ones in smaller containers are showing the Nitrogen deficiency due to being root bound. A few more days and I should be able to sex them and get up to 8 of the females into larger pots and give them a good bloom tea!
    1419566447033.jpg

    Here are some individuals!

First up, Blue Widow #1 in the 3qrt pot.

The next week should be fun with the bottom chamber showing sex and the upper chamber being flipped to flower!

Stay tuned for more updates! Feel free to leave some love, ask some questions, or give some suggestions!

  3. Nice man. Iv used thoes worm castings too. They have some good kelp fert too that i got. They have a nice line of stuff

  4.
    Beautiful! I'm jealous!  :metal:

I have a couple of different Blue Cheese beanz in my stash. I'm going to watch yours with interest! You must really love that strain to have popped so many!

    :bongin:

  5. Hey Jerry! Always nice to hear from yea! These blue cheese are an accidental breeding from a local growmie. He went through an emergency surgery on one of his last grows, was unable to care for his garden and let some males slip by and this was the result, I had about 50 seeds and this is my first time trying them. The blue widow are a similar story from the same grower but he got lazy with his guerilla grow a couple years back and didn't bother culling the males. I grew some of the blue widow outdoors this past summer and had decent results so I'm hoping it turns out well indoors too!

Hey stank! Nice to see you!

I have only tried their EWC but I may search for their other products now that you've mentioned they have good stuff!

  6. I ment to say seeweed fertilizer. Not kelp.

  7. Hey GC!

Quick update! I found 4 confirmed males so I'm down to 7 plants in the lower chamber. Still no confirmed females though! Hopefully the next few days will show me some pistils and put my mind at ease! Look at all the balls!!! Lol

    1419798063595.jpg

I also did some training on my Sweet Deep Grapefruits. The DWC plant got a final topping and the new shoots should take dominance over the next few days! I also did some slight super cropping on the lower branches to promote new growth from the freshly topped branches. The roots are also expanding quite quickly now and looking nice and strong!

The soil plant was fully topped previously and was spread out and tied down today! This plant will be given just a few days to recover then a gentle TP to its final 5gal container before flipping the top chamber to flower!

  8. Looking good bro. Shitty about yhe balls

  9.
yea, it sucks, but it was expected because they were all reg seeds down in the lower chamber. with only 6-7 plants I will be able to use the larger 1 gal pots instead of 3 qrt pots which I think will be beneficial! I hope to TP all 5 left in the 1.5L pots tomorrow and I may snap some pics for you guys!!

  10. Sounds good dude. Its always a bummer to find male's. I like when i wet up reg seeds and there all females. Or one or two die and the rest are all females.
The less stress and beter environment you give them the better your chances are for females

  11. I got a little lazy and slept in this morning and missed my lights on so there was no transplanting this morning. I will get at it tomorrow!

The soil Sweet Deep Grapefruit may need to be tied down a little more tomorrow as well!

So far I'm still leaning towards more females than males. As long as there is no more than one more male then I will be 6-7 females out of 11 seeds. I could improve that a little next run by starting only 8 seeds so they don't end up root bound in the tiny containers. Also getting my temps down a little bit would be beneficial! Unfortunately I had to many to cram in there to use larger containers and I just recently got my passive intakes installed so the temps are already better!

    Hey Guys!!!

Threw together a transplant/flower tea for the LED Micro SoG and the soil Sweet Deep Grapefruit. Same recipe I used last time but with 2 changes. The slow release blood & bone meal gets swapped with an organic slow release tomato food to reduce the nitrogen and boost the potassium. The General Organics BioThrive Bloom gets swapped for Botanicare PrueBlend Pro Bloom Soil just because variety is the spice of life and I like mixing things up a bit!

  13. What's up GC!

So I have some disappointing news. I Found 3 more males
    1419953436362.jpg 1419953444043.jpg 1419953455359.jpg

That said I'm confident the final 4 are all females and they have been transplanted to 1 gallon containers!
    1419953688400.jpg

After the transplant I tied them down quickly just as the lights went out! All 4 have started crowning and have just started showing pistils.
    1419953704615.jpg

While the males are disappointing this will allow me to start a bit of a perpetual system going down there. I'm hoping to receive some new Freedom 35 x BlackBerry genetics soon and I also have some Dark Lord from Sanctuary Gardens that I might start as well in a few weeks.

  14. Yea, that about sums it up stank lol!

Although I am looking forward to starting a few more seeds and roll a bit of a perpetual system in the lower chamber! I should be getting my custom Freedom 35 x Blackberry in the next little while. I also have some heritage Dark Lord from Sanctuary Gardens that I want to try! I'm a glass half full kinda guy so I try and see the positives!

  15. Its amazing how quickly your DWC plant caught up. I want to try my hand at a DWC setup. I gotta do some reading on it first as I have never tried it before.

  16. Yea the growth rate can be quite amazing in hydro. That said the soil sweet deep grapefruit I think has a much nicer structure. It will be interesting to see how they compare as they finish!

I've tried a variety of hydro methods and soil. I like em all so far lol. I've done DWC, Ebb & Flow, and coco all with good results! I like soil due to the relative simplicity. I can do most of the work up front making my organic mix and then just through together a couple AACTs through flower!

Hey guys! Happy new years to all of you!

I have a full update on the females! Got sick of having these balls dangling around my thread so I figured we needed some pistils here lol!

First up is the Blue Widow #1. Its a nice branchy pheno with natural wider lower growth. Its looking quite healthy with symmetrical growth.
    1420079252511.jpg 1420079259442.jpg 1420079267353.jpg

Next is Blue Widow #5. It is much more vertical than the other pheno. The branches reach straight upwards and required some gentle training to manage the main tops. Again it has quite symmetrical growth and looks quite healthy and happy in the new 1 gallon pot!
    1420079279564.jpg 1420079292561.jpg 1420079302520.jpg

Third is Blue Cheese #4. This plant turned out pretty well despite the early training mistake that claimed what was supposed to be the secondary branch. To compensate I left the lower branch set on this one so it has 5 tops instead of just 4. This pheno is not quite plantdica as its sister appears.
    1420079315036.jpg 1420079326887.jpg 1420079338663.jpg

Finally Blue Cheese #3. This plant is the most indica of the bottom chamber so far. Its also quite droopy compared to the others. I'm hoping the transplant tea I just gave them will perk it up a bit!
    1420079357275.jpg 1420079366212.jpg 1420079377189.jpg

All 4 under the LEDs loving life!
    1420079396308.jpg

A quick shot of the sweet deep grapefruits in the top cabinet.
    1420079432062.jpg

The soil plant looking really bushy and symmetrical. The new tops are all doing great and ready to flip. 1420079441402.jpg

The DWC plant is growing like a weed! I NEED to flip soon. I super cropped it today and will flip them to 12/12 tomorrow.

  18.
I absolutely love DWC. The only real PITA IMO is the ph, and that's minor.

    :bongin:

  19.
Pretty cool covering the edges of the DWC baskets in mylar like you did! I thought about copying it for about 3 milliseconds, but laziness trumped that idea.
