Help me find the right vape

  1. I'm a long time smoker that used to smoke out of bongs mostly, but at this point in my life, I'm interested in smoking for stress relief and relaxation and would like to switch to vaporizing exclusively for my lung health.

I have taken a long break from smoking so my tolerance is zero at this point. I'm trying to find a vaporizer for a couple hundred at most.

I plan to use it exclusively at home, and would like one that doesn't require filling up plastic bags. I'm mostly concerned with making sure that the temperature is consistent and precise for proper vaporizing.

Also, I live in California and get any kind of herb, oil, tincture etc that I want. I'm just looking for something basic that I can come home from work with and use without a lot of fuss.

    Any suggestions?

  2. You're used to smoking bongs so I would recommend the lsv which was designed with water attachments in mind. There's also log vapes which perform well through water and are super efficient. The next step up from those two would be the cloud evo, but I believe that one is going to be a touch out of your price range. These are just a couple to get you started.

  3. thanks man.

The thing is I'm actually trying to get away from the thunderbaked high that I used to get when I used bongs and I'm looking for a method to just get a nice, mellow stone to help destress after work and feel good.

It's been so long since I've smoked that I don't really have any kind of attachment towards something that is like a bong and my tolerance is completely reset.

I actually came across the storz and bickel "crafty" even though it is out of my price range. However, I live in California and get get "vape cartridges" with high thc for vape pens, in addition to dry herb. I've never used a "vape pen" before though. Is a vape pen that uses cartridges a decent alternative to a high priced vaporizer? It seems like it would be convenient not having to grind flowers and all that, I just don't know how effective they are.

  4. If you're going to be vaping dry herbs, do NOT get a vape pen.

I agree with HP's recommendation above.    I have the LSV and it has been my daily driver for over a year now.

  5. How would it work if I only vaped with a vape pen using cartridges? Is it effective and cost efficient?

I went with the Extreme Q since there's so many different ways to use. If I'm on my own I use the bong attachment with my 1000ml EHLE piece which provides the space for huge vapor hits. I also use the bags when I have friends round, but they usually prefer the bong attachment too haha.
