I'm pretty sure this is heat stress, but none of the leaves are curling upwards, so I was wondering if this could be a different problem? It's not super widespread or anything and the temperatures are pretty high. I'm working on getting them down, and will be buying a small stand up AC asap. They look pretty healthy otherwise, no droop or anything, I backed off the nutes to about 3/4 strength to be sure that wasn't an issue because the tips are little burnt here and there.
I couldn't stand it anymore and broke down to turning the ballast down to 75%. Temps down to 77, plants already seem to be more comfortable!
Sorry it's taken so long to reply! But no, unfortunately I do not. I live on the bottom floor of a two story apartment building so that just so happens to not be an option. Straight into the room, fan blowing out the door and down the hallway. Gets a little stuffy, but for some amazing bud, and stealth, I can easily put up with it. When I put the AC unit in, it should keep it from getting warmer than the rest of the house anyways!
It's also worth mentioning that the problems seem to have stopped progressing since the temp. Has dropped. Lesson learned!
Very true! I always try my best to keep it no more than 75 and no less than 55 for extreme conditions. My sweet spot is usually 60-70. Humidity is also important.
They seem to be doing good Here's how I leaned them over: That previous topping worked great on every plant. They seem to be doing good Here's how I leaned them over: That previous topping worked great on every plant.
Just put em into flower and did some of the last defoliating for a while! Under canopy shot And the runt! w
Been a while! Ran into a few little problems recently but it was smooth sailing up until this point... Just about a week ago while watering the plants, I noticed some pollen sack looking growth under the buds on two of three plants left (both OG Kush). Yep. Hermies. After much research, I decided it most likely due to some early heat issues, an under watering, and some late pruning. Then I came across the difference between a stress caused Hermie, and a genetic Hermie. This one being so early and the pollen sacks point me in the direction of the genetic cause but I'd say both contributed. My decision was to not pull them, having only three plants at this point. So I spent hours picking off every pollen sack in sight. A few seeds won't ruin the crop, and as long as I keep them from pollenating the BBK, I should be fine. Hopefully. I check for missed ones or more growth everyday and pick them off with tweezers after misting them to keep down pollen movement! Sorry for the long winded update! In other news, look how she filled in! An under canopy: Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum Look at the colas forming on this BBK though! Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Haven't had any that were open, handled a few tops after taking some off and I'm pretty sure I may have pollinated a few hairs. Not too worried about it though, at least it isn't spreading. However, I did just find one that was open and dropped pollen all over a leaf laying underneath as soon as I touched it with the tweezers! Immediately and carefully removed the leaf, and misted area with water. I can't believe I missed one for that long! Hopefully there isn't anymore, looked around once again, found a few premature ones and removed them. Couldn't find anymore... Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Geeze man. Hopefully you caught them all. I wouldnt be upset about it though. If you pollinated some means youll have free seeds for quite some time on that strain.
