How long can I keep my pot brownies out?

    My brother gave me two pot brownies on Tuesday (11/18/14). I don't want to eat them yet. I want to save them till Saturday (11/22/14), so that would be four days of just leaving it out. Its wrapped up in plastic wrap, and it's just sitting in my room under the bed. Will it be fine by Saturday? Will the potency not be as high? Is it fine if I just leave it in the plastic wrap sitting in my room till Saturday, or should I put it in the freezer or fridge (whichever one is better for it.) I honestly don't want to put it in the fridge or freezer. I just want to leave it in my room because you know...parents.

    For short-term storage, store brownies in an airtight container between layers of wax paper or parchment paper. Before closing it up, place a slice of bread on top. The moisture from the bread will keep the brownies soft for a few extra days. When you notice the bread starting to go stale, just replace it!
     
    For long-term storage (a few months), wrap your brownies individually in several layers of plastic wrap then store in a zip top freezer bag. When you want to eat one, unwrap it then microwave in 20 second bursts until it's defrosted.
     
    google is your friend. potency will not be affected.

    I bake brownies once a week. They should keep just fine in an airtight container or wrapped in plastic for about 1 week (maybe more).
     
    Did your bro bake them fresh on Tuesday, or were they sitting under his bed for a week, too? ;)

    in a Ziplock in the fridge is the simplest best way. if you still leave it under your bed it wont lose potency or go bad

    Brownies keep very well, they will still be fine by then. Enjoy.
