anyone running co2 generator with LEDS

  1. im running 2 1200w led wth a co2 generator in a sealed room? has anyone tried this....do i need fresh air if im providing co2?

  2. i have no heat or humidity issues with the LEDS i actually have to use a heater to keep my room up to temp and use a humidifier to rasie the humidity and im running a co2 generator as well so im wondering if its necessary to bring in fresh air???

  3.
I'm running a Mini Gen CO2 generator and i have a very nice supply of clean and filtered outside air for ventilation purposes. So in my case it's a definite yes.

But if you are having to heat your room? Still yes because if you go over 1200 ppm of CO2 (something like that) in the air it becomes toxic to the plant and remember that you do need oxygen for your roots. Can't get around that.

If you run an air pump in a room with no fresh air, only CO2

  4. Wassup Johnny, the only way to classify your setup as sealed is to not pump in any air in or out. Your setup is comparable to mine. Because you're aero, your roots are getting the required o2. The plants do not need o2 to grow, just the roots. They actuallly need only co2. I have a 4burner co2 generator, and I keep my levels at 1300, and because I keep my tents sealed unless I need to go in, I replace tanks every two months and I run perpetual. Also, myself trying to be a greener person, I allow my plants to absorb all the co2 I generate. You're wasting money and being inconsiderate of our thin ass ozone layer by exhausting co2. Once again plants pull in co2 from the leaves and expell o2 which will be enough for your roots

  5. You won't see changes until it's pass 3000, and 5000 for humans and animals.

  6. So freaking piss I'm throwing a BF (bitch fit) , BIT YES YOU ARE FREAKING RIGHT WHY WASTE LITTLE GREENS NEED ALL CO2 they can take in, AGREED !!! And I'm hey THAT DUDE JUST HOT SERVED LOL

  7. Wtf? 3000 ppm CO2? If so, bullshit lol most people like to keep it around 1200. There's no advantages to go beyond that. Some believe 1500, but no one who has researched believes in 5000 lol

IMO, you don't need to exhaust anything. If you have a sensor that switches off once you hit 1200-1500, there's plenty of oxygen to supply the roots. I'm surprised by everyone's responses here. Just run your CO2. If you ventilate, you're going to be wasting CO2... also, don't run it during dark times. The plants don't use CO2 unless they're under light.

CO2 is really a controversial subject. Many opinions out there... but you don't need to ventilate. That's common sense. Just make sure temps are good and you have plenty of air movement.

  8. I run mines at 1300, and now 1000. I was referring to to those levels being dangerous to humans and animals as well as the plants. Co2 is heavier than o2. And once again a sealed room is just that, "Sealed". No exhaust or intake necessary. If you are doing hydro, your roots is getting more than enough o2.

  9. I am growing in a refrigerator. You could say it is sealed... I feed co2 in and have no ventilation. Zero problems. I might add there is an air stone in my res which is also inside the fridge, so Plenty of air around the roots still

  10. I figured it was a misunderstanding lol if you're running CO2 I'm guessing you've researched it :p

  11. Really? You run lights in a closed refrigerator and don't have heat problems? How???? Even my LEDs put off good amount of heat. They are 600TW tho. You running cfls?

  12. I should have mentioned the fridge is running on a thermostat at just the right temp :)

  13. Hahaha that would make a difference :p I seriously have never thought of a someone doing a micro grow in a running fridge. That's really smart! Did you think that up?

  14. Only through necessity.

I did one grow outdoors and got aphids so I said fuck you to that.

So I next tried indoor aero/dwc (in winter) with awesome results but plant was male.

Then summer hit. Seemed cheaper then running an air con all day. Turned out to be a perfect little controlled environment. Search for a female continues though...

  15. Lol sounds like a journey. I'd recommend investing in some quality feminized seeds if you're doing that small of a grow. Especially if you're not cloning at all. I do regular seeds occasionally when I have space for extra plants. I know I'll have to kill about half of them. With more room you can clone to sex as well with a tiny flowering box.

  16. I've thought about it many times. Idk if it's the weed but I get paranoid about getting things sent to me. Not legal here.

I have a veg box for clones. Just gotta get my female first haha

I had my working fridge circulating cold air into this non working mini bar fridge. Worked. Just don't need it until I have my girl.

  17. I've ordered from msnl and they've always sent them stealthy and consistently. Takes about 2 weeks, but that's not bad. They accept cc or cash via snail mail. I'd give it a thought :) if you're really paranoid you can get a po box lol
