Canna Paste for edibles?

I curious is anybody has tried using canna paste for edibles.  I did a more-or-less side by side comparison molasses cookies made with paste and Golden Dragon.  The canna paste seems to be getting some attention as being better than RSO. 
It's basically an extraction with glycerin or coconut oil (which I used).  The pot is ground finely, coconut oil added and heated at 175 F for 10.5 hours.  There is no filtering so the plant matter is left in the final product.
Golden Dragon is an extraction with ice-cold Everclear.  The plant matter is filtered out and the Everclear evaporated and exchanged with coconut oil.
I used high quality, well-cured bud from the same strain but not the same plant for both the Dragon and Paste.  The final concentration was 0.29g of bud per cookie.  The Paste had a stronger smell but I couldn't really tell much of a difference in taste in the cookies.
The buzz was different.  The Dragon had a faster onset and higher high than the Paste.  The Paste was a deeper, longer lasting buzz which I could feel a slight buzz the next morning if I ate the cookie too late (about 12-13 hours).  This could be due to me not grinding the bud fine enough.  I ground it to a fluffy powder instead of flour-like consistency like suggested.  I'll probably try again and grind it finer.  I also didn't do a pre-decarb of the bud for the Paste like I do when making Dragon.  According to my calculations, the 10.5 hours at 175F should be enough.  Maybe next time I'll try a 20 min pre-decarb at 220F.
Has anybody else tried edibles with Paste and if so, what was your impression?
