Is there any cheap way to lower the sound of the inline fan besides fan controller? I need it asap can't sleep at night
wrap insulation around the fan would be my only idea? or are you talking about the exhaust sound? in that case you would want to build or buy an nonrestrictive muffler.

If you are silencing a fan, you are reducing the airflow in most of the situations. Maybe you can make something like this, its also usable as light trap.
