Finding our own meaning in life is delusional

  1. Any scientist at the top of their game are there because they do not take truth to be an absolute. The calculus of many knowledge-driven peoples lives revolve around uncovering an unbound ignorance. Adding to human knowledge is what some live, breathe and intend passing on to advance the struggle. To think of how dull the world would be if whole schools of thought were to be declared "dead" on a single man's word! Earth would be a swamp, void of human life. There is much thanks to be given to Copernicus, Da Vinci and Newton himself for standing up to peddlers of absolute truisms. Anyone with access to information can now sit and ponder the weight of oppression they had on their shoulders. Generations into the future may look back onto this period only to think how deranged and un-evolved our leaders were to stifle scientific progress.

Some find more meaning than others. Being able to quantify the meaningfulness is not a delusional act either. I think some countries even value it as a metric of "happiness" and consolidate it under a quality of life index.

  2. Meaning is subjective, but what we can know is that if we do this.. And live this way.. We can end up here and be this way. We create the meaning in our lives so for you to say that any of our meanings are "delusional" would in itself be "delusional" lol.
