just saw this thread Sammy. a few months ago I would have told you to go fuck yourself, literally. In fact, I trolled a couple similar threads in the past.

But you are 100% right, in my case, at least. I quit watching porn in September and it's amazing the changes that took place. Less social anxiety was the weirdest one. Sex with my girlfriend is 100X more passionate and satisfying. plus many other benefits I might get into later.

For anyone thinking its too hard, it's really not. after a week I had pretty much zero interest to watch porn.

I didn't masturbate for the first month (no sex for the 1st week just because my girl was on her period) I rarely masturbate(when I do it's without porn) but I'm still deciding if it's detrimental, I feel like it sets me back for a few days sometimes.

Anyways, I didn't read the other comments yet but im sure they are all positive

Edit-is not just a dopamine, reward system, addiction. porn really messes with your brain.

  5. Then the problem is with you guys and not the porn.

I watch porn a lot. A lot a lot. I haven't had sex in 2 years a lot haha. My point is i do none of those things. I don't need more graphic porn to get off. I don't objectify women. I don't just look at tits and ass when I see a pretty girl.

I'm so sick of let's put the blame on something else. No you're the problem. If that's how you act when you watch porn then maybe you shouldn't watch it.

  6. I think the other word you were looking for is endorphins, or am I wrong?
Anyway I find this very believable for others but it is simply not the case for me. I suppose this is one of those things that differs from person to person, but man I will never get tired of the ladies.
What would you say about gerking it without porn? Just curious,
and lol I appreciate the info Sam and I would show this to others, It is my turn do an experiment for myself out of skepticism

  7. I got mad the first time I heard someone mention this as well but it's real.

idc if anyone stops watching porn, there really is something to this though

  8. I don't want to distract from the topic being discussed, but I think that it should be pointed out that the term "shemale" is an incredibly offensive term to use to describe transgender women (so is "tranny"), and is equivalent to using the n-word to describe a black person. I really do not like the fact that the porn industry condones the usage of incredibly derogatory language when describing porn with trans women in it. Pretty much all other porn titles, while often nasty and degrading, tend to not include that type of derogatory language. There might be some transgender women who are alright with such terminology, but they typically have the responsibility of understanding that many of the rest of us are not alright with it.

Anyways, sorry for getting off topic, I just think that needed to be said.

  9. Sticks and stones can break my bones but words will never hurt me

  10. I'm sure that you don't condone calling black people the n-word, and there's really no difference between that and what I said. Plus, I'm guessing that you are likely a white straight male, since there really isn't any derogatory language associated with that demographic, which gives you the privilege of not having slurs directed at you. Try considering the perspective of minorities when it comes to derogatory language, and then maybe you might gain some compassion.

Calling a "black" person "the N word" has deep roots back to slavery, horrible slave trade, and sub human treatment of "black" people. What deep negative roots do "tranny" or "shemale" have? Maybe high school style insults. I really don't see those as being offensive to a transgender person, ESPECIALLY next to "nigger" which is a horrible word considered the context it used to be used in.

If you call a transgender person a shemale what the fuck are they going to say "UM I'M NOT A SHEMALE I AM A TRANSGENDER MAN." I'd be like... isn't that what I just said... my apologies you're transgender.

Now if you call a "black" person a nigger, he'll say excuse me I'm not a nigger I'm a human. Or atleast a normal african-denomination would. Some of them would freak out just like a stupid white person would if you called them white trash, but we're talking about unintelligent people in that case, not race.

I get your point that the words "tranny" and "shemale" might sound offensive and some people might take them offensively and want to be called the technically correct term "transgender" and not a contraction of the word which sometimes contractions = offensive, but to compare any term regarding transgender people, to the word nigger and its relation to african- denomination people, is way out of context.

  12. The n word was used for hundreds of years as a way to make a group people seem less than human. She male isn't even close to the same thing.

Words only have the meaning you give to them. How can a word by itself have intent. Even the n word is used now by everyone. As long as it isn't said with mean intentions I don't belive a word can be be bad.

I have plenty of empathy and compassion. If it really bothered someone I would certainly never use it around that person but to say a word itself is bad i don't agree with

  13.
    1. no, i separate fantasies from reality
    2. no, lol.  wtf
    3. face, tits, body.  not sure what u mean by whole package but i do like curves.
    4. im a foreplay man

I dont disagree with some of the stuff you said.  Porn addiction is real.  I've never had a problem though because I watch porn for one very simple reason: i have been attracted to 80s and 90s women all my life, some 70s too.

About the fetish thing.  Yes, what you said does make sense, and im sure many people have ended up looking for more bizarre things to stimulate themselves but i have always been disgusted by certain types of hardcore, like scat, blood, tranny, and thats never changed.  I am actually only interested in a very small % of porn, i am extremely picky.  Not so much with real life women though ;P

  14. Transgender people are far more likely to suffer violence and assault because of being trans than the general population, and the derogatory terms like "tranny" and "shemale" are often shouted before/during such assault, and are often used to refer to us in derogatory ways and to treat us as "subhuman" or "freaks".

If you aren't trans, then I don't really think that's up for you to decide, much like as a white person, I don't think it's really up to me to decide whether or not "nigger" should be offensive to black people. Trans people generally don't like being called "tranny" or "shemale" and we find those terms to be incredibly derogatory. If you are having a hard time wrapping your head around that, that's a natural response, but as a trans person, I'm telling you how we view that terminology as derogatory.

The person that the slur "shemale" would be a transgender woman, not a transgender man. Also, the scenario that you described with is is very unrealistic, both for the trans person and the person shouting the slurs. Lots of us really aren't interested in advertising trans status in public, because of a very legitimate fear of violence. Also, someone who is actively shouting slurs probably isn't going to respond politely when being made aware of it.

So, I don't want to derail from the thread. I just wanted to make a minor point that about language that was considered derogatory and that people should refrain from such language.

  15. I made a more detailed reply to another user, but what you said about "shemale" isn't true at all. It's a piece of nasty language that is used to dehumanize us and label us as subhuman freaks. Trans people are fare more likely to be victims of assault than the general population, and people often use those derogatory slurs while physically attacking us. So, I hope that your heart is in the right place and you'll respect that trans people generally find those words to be incredibly derogatory and dehumanizing. Maybe you don't see it that way, but we do, and I'm respectfully letting you know how trans people react to hearing that terminology. Yes, words only have the power that you give them, but that does not mean people should disregard the when certain groups find certain words to be derogatory and hateful. Some people might use that terminology and legitimately don't know, which is why I'm trying to be incredibly polite and respectful when explaining.

Again, I don't want to derail the thread and I have other things that I need to get done today, so hopefully that reply is sufficient for now.

I see your point. I don't think that slur words towards transgenders are as deeply rooted as the word nigger is to african-denomination people, but you make a good point. Props.

Anyways, recommend stop watching porn, it's bad for you.

  17.
Rofl do you actually believe there's no derogatory language to refer to straight white guys?

    Like, really?

Fucking heterosexuals, God. His point though, is there any common used derogatory language said to white people used to dehumanize them. Like people will say "FUCKING SHEMALE" and then proceded to beat the transgender person up, shemale is like dehumanizing them and justifying violence. Straight white people don't usually fall victim to this, unless you have an example?

Dude you ever been on tumblr? There are whole blogs basically devoted to hating on straight white guys, and I've seen people there regularly refer to them using such terms as "cisscum", and saying things like they have no right to opinions on social issues strictly because of who they are. They say stuff like "if you see a black/gay/transgender person on the street, take a moment to apologize to them for the prejudice they face which is your fault simply because you're part of the majority"

Now I'm not saying this is a huge issue, I was just saying that that other guy's assertion that there's no derogatory language used for straight white guys and nobody is prejudiced against them is simply false.
