Are corperations bad?

What about a legalistic structure hosted by the blockchain's logic?

The moral judgement cast upon a corporation largely depends on how ethically they reach their profit margins.

One crude aspect I find in the socialist corporations of the USSA is that despite having access to such advanced technologies, they squander their resources in a highly Robber Baron-esque plunder of the landscape, as if a throwback to era before their unique free market economy became the greatest in the world.

The vile environmental practices can be represented by the investment into energy infrastructure. The amount of electrical gridding that has been built in the last 6 years compared to the pipes that have been laid is very lopsided. These newly laid pipelines carry what is reported to be 50% of the country's domestic energy production in the end result of fracking: shale gas. If there were some way to characterize shale gas it would be akin to a pre-term mutant fiasco child. These continued environmental degradations are spiralling into a generational blow to deficit spending. It unloads further debt onto the unborn for the sake of a hefty pay day for a few to enjoy their "lunch".

This isn't limited to the Western world either. Leaving massive debris trails is a tendency of human nature, a discussion perhaps left outside politics.

  5. If there was a purpose to explore space yes private business would do this, and much more efficiently and affective. But to waist trillions of dollars and scarce resources on it just because is idiotic. I would assume the vast majority of space programs are directly or closely related to military advancements. The technology only trickles down to the civis when they deem us worthy/capable.
As far as gaining resources for a business that is not able to pay for initial start ups, that's where sound money and warehouse banking originated. People produce their needs, then their wants. Whats left from their labor is saved, this is wealth. Producing more than you consume and SAVING the rest. These savings are real things of use, goods, commodities. The commodity that is most easily tradable because it stores this wealth emerges as money, usually medals. Well built warehouses (banks) are built to store this money in two forms. One as a warehouse (checking account) and the warehouse charges the owner for storage, but the money is obtainable at any point the owner wants it. The other form is a longer term deposit (savings account) that is mutually agreed apon. This money is used by the warehouse owner to loan out to people, maybe a group wanting to explore space. But this money must be payed back to the original owner plus interest (the cost of money) so the lender better be sure of the borrowers purpose. The fdic has took away this check and balance, creating moral hazard. Good loans make huge profits for the lender through interest and the state through taxes. Bad loans are socialized and paid for by the tax payers. Also the money being lent is no longer a good or a commodity, It is counterfeit; fiat. Banks aren't warehouses, but practice fractional reserve banking where only a fraction 1/10th of the commodity (wealth) is held in the safe. All this bullshit I made you just read leads to people finding other ways and exploiting weaknesses, loopholes. BOOM Corporations or corperations

  8. I wouldn't say corporation are bad.  Like everything else its how you use it that matters.

Corporations are literally  - Co-Operations.  They are formal cooperatives.  Our current zeitgeist doesn't see it that way though, nor does it have reason to.  In the early 19th century corporations were granted short-term charters to perform publicly beneficial projects.  When the charter ended the corporation disbanded.

The modern corporation, the ones that began in the last 19th century through the use of the 14th Amendment (you know the one that made slaves "people") to make corporations people too in the eyes of the government.  Been going down hill ever since.  But, I don't think the idea of what a corporation is is bad inherently.

A child can become "evil" in the wrong environment just as easily as they can become "noble" in the right one.
