Got my first piece but I've never seen a pipe with a ring around the "stem." It just clinks and moves around.…I think it's gonna eventually break the pipe or just break off. Makes me want to just take it off (yikes) so I wonder it serves any purpose? I might wrap the ring with some hemp and use it. Does anyone know if that's the real purpose?
