Just ordered all of this today. Let me know what you think. Two of my seeds cracked open a bit yesterday. I am going to be buying some regular organic soil from Lowes and some cups to grow them in until my things are shipped to the house. The only thing I didn't expect myself to buy was the HPS MH light kit. I originally planned to just use the LED, but I have heard great things about HPS and MH producing decent yields. Question is, which one should I use or try in my grow tent? My LED comes in sometime today, so I will have to use that (when the plants sprout) until everything ships in next week. Sorry about lack of pictures, but I am on my phone. I plan to picture journal once everything is put together. Any suggestions or advice is appreciated! Let me know what y'all think.
The led is woefully underpowered for a tent that size for flowering. Maybe use it to set up a veg/clone tent. If not throw it in with the hps, the more the merrier.... Why buy both, did you get credit card craziness?
To be honest, that is what I was afraid of about the LED. I didn't want to spend $400 and up for a higher powered one. It seemed to be the way to go, because it doesn't cause as much heat. But I want to grow at least 3 or 4 plants at a time and try to make the plants happy. The HPS/MH kit seemed like a great deal. Just wish I had seen or looked into it earlier last week, since the LED was purchased last week. So I can use both and the plants will love it? Sweet!
Sounds like that's a 6" booster fan. My 6" inline is 440 cfm. A booster won't do the 240 cfm it claims without help. Running a 600 watt you might want to look into a real inline fan, especially if you plan on using a carbon filter
Ya man I grow with a 135w LED I my closet and love it, but I only have one big ass plant under it and I added cfls to get the outer branches. Totally recommend LED, but you have to be willing to spend some more cash if you want to grow more than 2 plants. A good grower can get a pound fairly easy under a 600W. LED? not a chance. Build your grow around the 600w, use the LED for clones and vegging plants.
So far that Apollo light I own is treating me nice with 10 plants under it lol. http://forum.grasscity.com/outdoor-grow-journals/1330858-we-want-fire.html
I have a 600w in my tent which is about that size. Mine is like 1.8mx1.8m x 2m. I found the 600 to be a bit weak. Had to supplement with some CFL's for this grow. Possibly going LED next grow though. Growing in 95 degree days with MH/HPS is a bitch If you have already purchased, your plants will still grow. Will they reach potential, maybe not. But you will learn a fuck-tonne from your first grow. There will be mistakes made, so what you have now will be fine.. Don't over extend yourself too much Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
