  1. Alright everyone! Post your bench max below with your weight next to it! NO JUDGING, ONLY MOTIVATING!! I'll start us off:
    Bench max: 175 pounds
    Weight: 138 pounds
    Forgot to add BE TRUTHFUL!

  2. It's been a while but last time I tried (3 months ago) I did like 210. Honestly I prob could have done 225 fresh but I did did sets of three from 180 and up in increments of 3-5 while looked for my max.
But honestly I don't care for max and I go for the rep range of 12-20 on incline because I like the burn and the challenge.

last year when i was still in highschool playing football and benching everyday my numbers where:
    405 max
    315 6 times
    225 26 times
but i weigh in at 290.
i also leg pressed 2100 once just to see if i could.
having typed this out makes me feel like a fat piece of shit for not maintaining

  4. My CGBP max was a paused 320 at 220lbs.

Now I'm around 210 with around 275x4 TnG CGBP.

I've been putting more of a focus on conditioning lately.

  5. Weigh 185 can bench 200 max.

Just remaxed today and got 180! Weight 138

  7. Weigh about 185 here, I've done 250 max, about a year ago, but am finally getting myself ready for 275

  8. Weigh 150, bench 135.

  9. I haven't benched in about a decade, but at 140 lbs I maxed at 225 lbs, but I attribute it to my hyperactive thyroid which gives me energy for my size. I was good at wrestling, though I didn't join the team due to morning practices being held at 4 or 5 am, and then after school.

  10. 76kgs @ 1RM 100kgs.

  11. MAx bench=useless

  12.
Straight arm lat pulldowns for power on the wheel, Bob?  :smoke:

215 for 1 rep on my bench and I weigh 190. I usually do 185 for 4-6 reps of 4-5 sets on my bench. Nothing spectacular but I almost never do 1 RM.

  13. Weigh 160lbs maxing out 250 on bench wooo

    Damn you one big\\strong mofo

  15. I weigh in around 200lbs and can bench 250 max. But to he honest I don't like maxing out on the bench press. I personally feel like the potential for injury is too high, and I'm not interested in power lifting.

  16. Back a year ago when I was weighing around 195 my max was at 305.
Many months later and unrelated, I herniated a disc and stopped working out.

Currently weigh around 168 and can hit 185 for 5x5.
So I'd expect fresh working up I'd hopefully hit 225.

  17. This

I've been lifting for a straight year religiously and I couldn't even tell you my max

I don't lift strictly for 1RM numbers and used to think the same. But it's kind of fun to figure it out, as well as plan your other workouts more effectively. Besides some people workout to hit PR 1RM's and compete, so it's far from pointless just because you have never tried.

  19. Max out at like 240. Was never good at the bench (I'm more of a dumbbell guy) and I like doing more reps with less weight. I like doing 165 with 10-12 reps.

    Weigh 175 I can rep 225 twice

I never lift heavy really. I'll do a set of 205 as my first set for like 4-6 then down the weight and hit 10-12 rep.
