Functioning on Weed vs. Smoking ocasionally

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by roronoazoro27, Nov 6, 2014.

  1. I have found that I like to smoke ocasionally more because weed lifts off stress n i need that stress in order to grow as a person.

One of the problems for me is that i fall into functioning on weed easily and i get hooked to it. But now im limiting myself to only saturdays to get stoned.

    What do u guys think?

Lately i've taken to staying sober during the good part of the day and smoke at night (8pm+) and get a solid session going.

Its worked on keeping things fresh for a little while. i enjoy not having to worry about conservation because i'd usually not smoke the amount i would've been if i were toking all day and end up getting a lot higher in the end.

Also being sober for half of the day is a nice contrast for when your finally able to take that first hit :smoking: .

  3. very valuable contribution to the topic. i hope you continue to add to the discussion on this forum :)

  4. i wake up, smoke. every morning if I can.

if I can't smoke at night i'll usually workout to

    tire myself.

  5.
I'd even go as far as saying that it's more valuable of a contribution than OP.

  6. well played

  7. What do you mean by functioning?
Like having to accomplish a task?
That's not hard at all, you may do it more slowly. I find it easier to move my muscles when they're not in pain.
Since i do a cognitive stressful job, I usually don't want to be intoxicated when working. But I could do it.

But, If you wait to smoke it makes it better when you can finally get relief from your day.

  8. If i already had an exhausting day, then if i wait till later that night, I'm gonna fall asleep and miss the fun of the high while I'm sleeping. Ill only really smoke at night if i drink too

  9. That should work out fine for you OP. I personally burn one like 15 mins before I work then smoke at night. Don't let bud rule your life.

  10. I don't think you need stress to grow as a person.

There are millions of high stress people and they're no more enlightened than the low stress people.

Weed changes how you view obstacles and challenges, especially relating to worries about the past and the future. Cannabis forces you to focus and appreciate the immediate world around you pushing the past and future worries into the background.

This is why cannabis helps treat PTSD. It helps people forget the past and focus on the present.

So if you want to be stuck in the present at all times then by all means stay high but for others they must be aware of future and past responsibilities and use weed accordingly.

I think once a week is a good idea if you have a family. If you don't have a family and just have a job, nightly smoking is acceptable. If you don't have a job or a family then you can stay high all day.

  11. I disagree man I have a beautiful house and family and I get high almost every day.

  12.
Why do you think some people can function smoothly while high and others can't even do basic activities?

Is it a matter of intelligence, experience or something else.

  13.
Completely agree with this. I have a few friends who're relatively new to smoking and cannot function anywhere near the same level as myself while high. Everyone's different, be it from inexperience or the person's own inability to do much more than one or two things while high.

For me it is experience and timing.  I vape in the evenings when the kids go to bed.  When I get up in the morning I am no longer high and ready to function and work. Also I'm married to a great woman who won't let me fuck up.
