The House I Live In

  1. The House I Live In (2012) is a documentary made and narrated by Eugene Jarecki. It examines the War On Drugs and the long term effects that it has had on our society.

Fans of Drugs Inc. will almost certainly appreciate this movie. Jarecki interviews users, cops, families, prisoners, and many other people who find their lives affected by the jailing of non-violent drug offenders.

The documentary begs the question: Are we better off as a society for the way that we treat drugs and drug offenders?

When I saw it, the film was on netflix though I'm not sure if it's there now or not. Someone with an account should comment and let everyone know.

    Tell me your thoughts!
